I think Batman dies at Crime Alley in the story's beginning. That's why the clone has no memories of what
happened after (people riots, Omega etc.). The Batman who dies at the Hall of Justice is a replacement
(probably Dick?).
If Omega is one of Batman's allies/wards, it's possible he/she also orchestrates/is a part of the death of
Batman in the beginning, in order to get rid of the only man who knows him/her best.
Come on, we need to see Ra's Al Ghul as one of the main villains, probably pulling the strings behind
Omega? Ra's has never been used as a main villain by the top team of Snyder and Capullo.

Diana told him that ''Batman'' opened the doors and that the people killed him, ''Arthur,
Oliver and Dinah''. Why not tell that ''Bruce'' opened the doors? She called the other heroes
by their regular name. Maybe to distinguish the clone from the original?
Yet, the beginning seems irrelevant with the rest of the story. Maybe it's all a dream after the
boy shoots him?

I was thinking that heroes could actually be easily defeated by common people. I mean, when
there's no-one to protect because the ones you protect turn against you, what do you do? Do you
fight them? Who are you then?

Not really.
Any "defeat" for heroes is when they try too much to be good two-shoes , regardless of
reality.
Superman could live in his fortress and so is Batman in his bunkers.
Wonder Woman had a whole magical realm to hide and Green Lanterns are space cops ,
which means they can work just fine in other planets from the same sector.
There is also the fact that a bunch of guys with pretty much torches and normal machine
guns wants to give some danger to people that could fly while doing energy blast in
safepoints.

Not the point. Sure, they could hide but when do they?
I imagine they would try to turn people around or save some of them but people kept
turning against them and eventually won. Like I said, they wanted to protect people,
not fight against them.
Of course, there's a possibility that there will be a further explanation of how they did
this. And I think the fact that people are debating is a win neverless.

I think the story is kinda out of order. Maybe it was the Omega (who given the flashback, is either
empowered by or related to Darkseid or whatever) empowered the people to take on the
superheroes and they did.
