Analyze text “Food from the Sea”

A. Prepositional phrases

1. He said that food tasted better when you got it yourself and ate it in natural place.

2. To show me this was true, he took me to the ocean.

3. I will always remember the taste of the crabs we caught that day.

4. The beach was quiet and still at six o’clock.

5. So there were many crabs walking slowly on the white sand.

6. We sat a few feet away from my father’s special crab traps.

7. So they crawled into the traps.

8. We watched the crabs into the traps.

9. We heard the sounds of seagulls and pelicans in the sky.

10. We took off our shoes and threw them over our shoulders.

11. So we could walk on the wet sand.

12. And feel the water pushing and pulling at the beach.

13. We built a fire and ate boiled crabs on the beach.

14. We sat on the sand surrounded by crab shells and watched the sun go down into the ocean.

15. But it has never tasted as good as it did that day.

7. The meat was white, pinkish, and tender.

8. It tasted sweet and a little salty.

9. We sat on the sand surrounded by crab shells.

10. Watched the sun go down into the ocean.

1. I have eaten crab many times since then, but it has never tasted as good as it did that day.
D. General comments

I was certainly intrigued by this essay because first I like the beach and everything in it. Second, the essay are easy to
understand so I don't get bored when reading them.
