I. Technical Data

I.1 Appliance Description

I.1.1 Construction and Function

The butterfly valve (1) serves to shut off an air or conveyor line.

The pneumatic version of the valve is provided with a pneumatic drive (3). A control unit (3a)
contains signal transmitters for sensing the end positions and a solenoid valve for actuating
the drive. The solenoid valve is provided with a push-button for manual emergency operation
of the valve in case of power failure. Two electrical micro switches serve as signal transmit-
ters.

The assignments of the valve versions to the individual markings are listed on the reverse of
the correction sheet.

Assembly and Start-up

II. Assembly and Start-up

II.1 Provision
The butterfly valve leaves the factory tested for functioning and ready for installation. When
received by the customer the delivery should be checked for correctness, completeness and
possible transport damage.

II.2 Assembly

II.2.1 Mechanical Installation

The butterfly valve must be installed in a flange connection PN10, slightly opened and without
additional gaskets, free from tension as far as possible.

Operation, Maintenance and Servicing

III. Operation, Maintenance and Servicing

III.1 Replacement of the Ring Bellows

Open the valve completely.
Remove plug in housing bottom.
Mark disk position on disk and shaft square end.
Drive valve shaft upwards out using a round steel bar.
Remove valve disk (using a rubber mallet, if necessary).
Remove ring bellows and plastic bearings.
Insert new ring bellows and new plastic bearings.
Insert valve disk.
Insert valve shaft from the top. Ensure that the toothing is positioned correctly (see marks).
Drive in valve shaft with a rubber mallet, until it engages in the bottom plastic bearing.

III.2 Cleaning of the Air Filter on the Control Unit

Clean the air filter (2)
on the air connection (1)
once a year as follows:

Shut off air supply.

Detach air supply

connection.

Insert an extractor or
wooden screw and
turn out the air filter.

Clean the filter in a

bath of benzine or
solvent.

Dry the filter from outside

to inside by means of
compressed air.

Reinsert the filter.

Attach the air connection.

Turn on air supply.

IV. Equipment Overview,

Spare and Wear Parts

IV.1 Introduction
In the following equipment overviews, spare parts are marked by an S and wear parts are
marked by a W. This marking is not binding. The order-related spare parts offer is binding in
each case. Parts marked bold are split up further in subordinate parts lists.
We generally recommend to keep at least the parts marked by a W (for wear part) in stock.
Please state when ordering spare and wear parts:
• the designation of the component (here: Butterfly valve)
• the designation of the subassembly (e.g. Butterfly valve I10 …)
• the designation of the spare parts according to the spare parts list
• the article number according to the spare parts list
