Cookies Final Project Problem Statement

Problem Statement: Christmas time is just around the corner and Caleb owns the best bakery
in town. His bakery makes two types of cookies: Snickerdodles and His own special recipe. But
his bakery is working under a few constraints.

Question: What combination of cookies gets Caleb the most amount of profit.

Constraints:
● Time: Over the weekend Caleb can only make cookies for a total of 26 hours
○ Special Cookies take 24 minutes to make 5 dozen cookies (60 cookies)
○ Snickerdoodles take 50 minutes to make 4 dozen cookies (48 cookies)

● Cost: In order to save enough to keep the bakery open he can only spend $550.
○ One dozen (12 cookies) of Special Cookies cost $4.59 to make.
○ One dozen (12 cookies) of Snickerdoodles cost $4.24 to make.

● Materials: During the winter Caleb can only get 50 cups of flour a day and he can”t afford
to wait for more.
○ 5 dozen (60 cookies) Special Cookies take 2 ¼ cups of flour to make.
○ 4 dozen (48 cookies) Snickerdoodles take 1 ½ cups of flour to make.

Pricing:
● One dozen (12 cookies) of Special Cookies go for $18.37
● One dozen (12 cookies) of Snickerdoodles go for $16.99
