About Us
Lindenhurst Park District is located in northwestern Lake County, Illinois. The District was formed in April, 1988, making us one of the
youngest Park Districts in this area. However, it's one of the fastest growing Park Districts with a variety of recreational programs and parks to
offer. We currently have 19 named park sites which includes 2 beaches (25 parcels of open space total), that offer some of the newest active
features around, combined with designated passive/natural areas. We also have a Community Center with a full size gymnasium, 3 lane
suspended walking/jogging track, fitness equipment, dance studio, senior/adult room, preschool and multi-purpose rooms, conference room,
and they are all ADA accessible.

Our Philosophy
It is the goal of Engle Junction Preschool to provide a safe and
nurturing learning environment where each child is recognized and
appreciated.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum, guided by the Illinois Early Learning Standards, is
founded on the belief that children learn best through creative play
and exploration. Our classrooms and curriculum have been
carefully designed to promote varied learning experiences.
Children participate in individual, small group, and whole group
activities on a daily basis.
We strive to prepare our preschoolers for elementary school by
incorporating activities into our program that promote the EJP Enrichment Program
development of social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and 4-5 Years
language skills. $169per month
Is your preschooler ready for more than just two and a half hours
Our teachers recognize the unique learning styles, needs, and of preschool? During class, they will have hands-on, meaningful
interests of each child and work diligently to offer learning experiences that will promote a play-based learning center for
experiences that are developmentally appropriate considering our math, science, dramatic play, language and literacy, music, and
students’ ages, individual needs, and social and cultural contexts. art to help enrich your student’s experiences. These meaningful
experiences will help prepare your child for kindergarten. This
