Proofreading—3rd Grade
When you write, you should check to make sure you have used punctuation correctly, capitalized where
needed, and spelled words correctly. This is called proofreading.
Proofread each sentence, and rewrite sentences that have mistakes. If the sentence is correct, write
“correct” on the line.
1. Ben did you know that there is a bird siting on your bike?
6. “I am sorry,” said Mrs. Jones, “but you cannot have another piece of chocolate.”
