Quality Control [5]

 Under strict quality control shaving preparations are manufactured and
regulated by federal agencies including FDA.
 Batches are examined and analyzed both at manufacturing site and in
laboratory.
 Individual containers are coded so that manufacturer can identify its
distribution history.
 Manufacturer needs to be certain so that each batch can meet quality
standard.
 Absorption rate, height of the foam, pH value are tested.
 Pure or distilled water are used. Most manufacturers make sure the water they
use is pure by exposing the water to ultraviolet light or using distilled water.
Having a microbiologist on site to test the water and the final product is
common in the industry.
