Campaign Speech

Good morning Lady's and gentlemen! Thank you for inviting me here today. My name is Ian Rex
Desoloc, and it is an honor to be here as a part of this election. Right now, we have an amazing
opportunity to transform Lavezares into the gleaming and charming Lavezares City it is destined
to be.

If I am elected mayor, I will seize this opportunity to address the challenges of Lavezares. I will
revamp the education system. Fix the transportation system and renovate the auditorium into a
stadium. I believe that, if we work together, we can make Lavezares a great town. And I believe
that I have the experience to be the most effective mayor for Lavezares.

Right now, we have an opportunity—a chance to substantially improve services in Lavezares.

Having worked with children, I feel that it is vital that we improve their education. Many of our
teachers are leaving Lavezares. One reason is the high cost of living in our beautiful town. I
suggest that we raise their yearly salaries by seven percent so they can afford to live here.

computer software for the entire district: in our elementary schools, our middle schools and
in our high schools. The total cost for this project will be less than ₱2,000 for each school.

Another challenges is the mild traffic and flash flood in Lavezares which makes it difficult to get
around. If I am elected mayor, I will fix this and green technology can lead the way. We can
install trolley rails around Lavezares going to and from popular places in our town. And tourists
and commuters will be able to use bikes from “rent -a- bike” stations located around our town.
We will also provide ferry service to transport commuters and tourists to every beautiful islands
in Lavezares. In addition, is building a boulevard with a total cost of 2.5 billion Php. Everyone
will see first hand why Lavezares is called ‘The Florida of the Philippines'.

For years, Lavezares Park has served as a main attraction for both tourists and residents in our
town. But, as you may have noticed, the park is an old landmark at our town. It doesn’t look
nearly as good as an attraction! Trust me, I’ve done my homework on this issue.
Building a new park would cost way too much money but, leaving it alone could produce
hazardous results especially, if the tourists decide leave Lavezares. None of us want to think
about that but the problem exists. The obvious solution is to renovate the park. Renovation will
create jobs for people in Lavezares, and save one of our landmarks and main attractions.

Together, we can work on the issues we currently face in Lavezares. We CAN renovate the
Lavezares Park. We CAN reduce traffic in our town and we CAN improve education for students
and teachers. We can do this as one town, with one dream, and one future! I am Ian Rex
Desoloc and I would appreciate your vote today. Thank you. Abante Lavezares!
