Once upon a time, there was a girl who was well on her way to fulfilling her lifelong

dream. But along the way, she got lost. Broken. Miserable.

She didn’t tell anybody. She had her friends and her family, but she didn’t want to be a
burden to any of them and kept her sadness inside for fear of disappointing everyone around
her. Her dream was turning out to be so vague, and so unreachable. To her, her life felt hollow
and meaningless. And as life would have it, you could probably guess what would happen next.
She met a boy.

The boy was so full of hope and full of life. The complete opposite of what she was at
that moment when they met (not to mention he had the most beautiful brown eyes she had
ever seen) Cliché as it sounds, she wasn’t looking for love. She just wanted to sort out her own
life. To feel alive again. To love herself again. And he helped her do just that, not as lovers, but
as friends. And for the first time in so long, she felt alive again. He became her best friend. And
hers, his. The rest, as they say, is history.

Sometimes people enter your life so unexpectedly, and it feels like you’ve known them
your entire life. 4 years ago, when I met you, I felt exactly that. You’re my best friend, my
confidant, my love.

My love, I know you have heard this story many times over. But I will never tire of telling
it. You remind me of a time in my life that I will never forget. Not because it was a sad time for
me, but because amidst all that sadness and disappointment, I found you.

We never know what life holds for us, but I am writing this, my first love letter, to say
that no matter what the future is for us, no matter how many fight, how many words said in
anger, you will always have my heart. Thank you for making me feel alive again.

Happy 3rd Anniversary, Langga.

I love you.
