Possession of a legal firearm without a license
To carry any of the legal firearms you will have to purchase a firearms
license at the DVLA.
Ticket of £50,000 and Temporarily Confiscation of Firearm
until holder returns with a valid license.
Driving a vehicle without a licence
Operating any type of vehicle without a licence
£10,000 Fine and Confiscation of vehicle. If it's an illegal vehicle, immediate crush!
Using illegal Narcotics
If you are using any form of illegal narcotics, you will be fined. Medical Marijuana is only
permitted in your home.
£40,000 Fine and Confiscation of the illegal narcotics.
Reckless Driving
Driving in a manner that causes danger to others or yourself.
£10,000 Fine.
Attempted Auto Theft
Breaking into a vehicle but failed to do so.
£10,000 fine.

Stealing a vehicle which isn't government owned.

Hit and Run
To hit someone with your vehicle, not check if they are okay/not call for help but instead
carry on driving.

To not move and allow an Officer or NHS to pass with your sirens on.

Public Disturbance
Disturbing the public peace by playing music loudly, screaming etc. As well
as laying down on the roads.

Spamming can Result in Removal from Server!
Public Indecency
Running around half naked in the public.

Going into an area of which you're not authorized to be in (e.g Police HQ).

Police Rules and Guidelines
Main Rules
● When On Patrol If you’re a PCSO you need to be with a PTO, SPC or above at ALL
TIMES! When you are above the rank of a PCSO, you can patrol on your own. However,
we prefer you always patrol with 2 people. Never patrol with more than 2 cops unless
you are on your way to an event such as the bank or a hostage situation.
● 15 minute rule (Aka, New life rule) This rule is where if you die within a role play
situation (ie, you were kidnapped and executed or the bank was being robbed and you
got killed on scene) you do not return to the area where you were killed, for 15 minutes.
In addition, anything that happened before (ie, a guy called Sam executed you) has to
be forgotten. A good example of this is dying in a bank robbery, you cannot return for 15
minutes and you have to forget there is a bank robbery going on until called in. You are
a new life, think of it as dying as Comm Velocity and being reborn as Ben. Different
people, different lives.
● ANPR
“
Automatic Number Plate Recognition”. Can be used to identify the
registration/owner and speed of a vehicle. To use this, press the “/” button located next
to your “Numlock” key on your numpad. Note: that you have to be inrange and has to be
pointed towards the car for it to work.
● Using the information provided by the ANPR When using an ANPR you must have
probable cause to use the ANPR at all times! (By having probable cause this is by
suspecting that they are speeding and want to confirm their actual KM/H) By using the
ANPR, you receive information such as the vehicle model, the speed the vehicle is
travelling at and the Owner's identity. You must not use the identity provided by the
ANPR to check the Wanted List for a Wanted Suspect until you have the suspect in
police custody and then you are allowed to use the information provided by the ANPR
for factual purposes and to check the database for a wanted criminal.
● Tazing Before you taze someone, you MUST always warn them.
●
Power of Arrest The
power of arrest
can be used to protect a person, or persons
from harm or to protect damage to property. Police have the power to arrest someone to
protect themselves when dealing with the suspect and check ID at any times.
● Non lethal All officers must carry non lethals(Rubber Bullet Gun) out all the times and
keep their lethal in their bags as a last resort.
● Engaging with lethal force
Before engaging, similarly to tasing, you must issue
compliance (e.g warn then you are going to open fire).
● Ride alongs
Only a
CI and above can arrange a ride along. A ridealong is an
arrangement for a civilian to spend a shift in the passenger seat of an emergency

vehicle, observing the work of a
Police officer. The safety of the person on the ridealong
must be considered. Officers with ridealongs will drop off the civilian in a safe place prior
to an emergency call if they believe the call may pose danger, It is not always possible
for the officer to avoid a situation where the person riding along may be in danger so you
must let them know.
The civ can not carry weapons of any kind, you can give them a cap and a police vest.
● Officers being civilians As an officer you are allowed to be a civilian. However, we
have decided that when you are a civilian you are NOT allowed to participate in the Bank
heist , Prison break out or take lethal force against the police (only permitted if an officer
started it).
● Officer to Civilian ratio For every 10 civilians, there must be 2 officers online.
Specific Situations
● Being taken Hostage When taken hostage, if outnumbered at a 31 ratio (3 rebels, 1
of you or 6 rebels, 2 of you!) you must surrender immediately if you see all of them. You
must be a SGT or above to be taken Hostage!
● Hostage Operations
Our SCO 19 unit is in charge of this operation and they
decide what happens. If a police officer is taken hostage, your primary objective is to
role play!
● Bank Robberies Bank robberies are a kill on sight zone(KOS). Our SCO 19 unit is in
charge of this operation and they decide what happens . If they are not on, the
highest ranking officer will take command of these situations. PCSO’s unless
authorised and armed with a lethal weapon do not go to bank robberies. If you
have been given a lethal firearm, you are authorised to go. In addition to this,
Kavala should be the last to respond unless they are seriously needed. Area’s
should not be left empty to go to a bank robbery. At least 1 unit should stay
behind to look after Kavala/Athira whilst a bank robbery is happening!
● Dealing with RDM/VDM If you see somebody getting VDM’d, if possible attempt to
disable the vehicle and arrest them instantly for VDM. You do however still have to role
play if they are compliant, if not tell them they are going to jail for VDM and arrest them.
If you are unable to disable the vehicle, lethal force is authorised without any warnings.
VDM does not apply to the new life/15 minute rule, you are free to return to that
life.
● RDM “ Random DeathMatch”
however is a different story, the 15 minute/new life rule
does not apply in this situation also, but if you are RDM’d you must ensure it was RDM
first of all, if that is the case try and carry on with your previous situation. If someone
opens fire on you randomly, try to issue compliance like you would within role play. You
are a police officer, and are a prime target for violence. It will always happen, and is part
of being a police officer.

● Public Areas of HQ’s The front of Athira HQ up to the desk is a public waiting area,
members of the public are allowed to wait there when they provide a legitimate reason
i.e waiting for an officer to be available or to pay a ticket. If a person goes behind this
desk or into the garage area they should be advised to leave the area or they will be
restrained and given a ticket. As Kavala HQ is all closed off currently there is no public
area, members of the public must request permission to enter at the barrier.
● Entering Potentially Hostile Areas Drug Fields, Processors etc. In real life each
operation carried out by the Police is carefully planned using forward thinking to account
for almost every potential possibility. This is even more so the case when a situation
could become potentially hostile. Therefore when entering a hostile environment such as
a drug field or processor there are a few things that all officers must do before even
attempting to travel to the location.
All Officers must radio across to all units informing them of their plan to carry out a search of a
proposed hostile area.
They must ensure that there is adequate amount of Officers within city limits to handle any
crimes that may occur during the time Officers are away carrying out the operation.
Under no circumstances should any uniformed Officers venture to these locations alone.
minimum of 1 SPC or higher and a minimum of two Officers holding the rank of PC's or above.
Undercover Officers are allowed to enter this area alone however they must organise for a unit
to be stationed within a 1.5km distance from the area in order to provide some sort of immediate
back up this must consist of two PC's or above.
In the event that the attending Officer(s) become overwhelmed the priority is then to retreat
from the situation as quickly and as safely as possible.
● Arming a PCSO/Cadet An SPC or above can give a PCSO/Cadet a lethal weapon
however, they should only be armed the same as a PC would (Sting or Vermin). A more
powerful weapon can be authorized but must be done by a SGT or above. Arming a
PCSO/Cadet should only be done when needed, i.e the H.M.Treasury, severe gunfights
etc.
● Police being on as a Civilian “offduty officers” should be acting like one and
must
assist fellow officers when they are in need. You may only do illegal drugs for making
some extra money and that is all. No hostage taking, robberies, H.M. Treasury etc, not
going into the redzone. However, when you go under a different name, it’s a new life.
Therefore you may go into the red zone and act like a rebel. We do still want you to not
take police hostage as well as avoiding any sort of engagement against the officers.
● Using Placeables Ensure that you only use placeables when there is a SGT or above
present or have been given permission. I.e at a Road block. When there is a traffic

collision you can block the road and inform traffic to redirect. Once you leave the scene
remove your placeables.
General Rules/Situations
● Sending people to jail
Before you send someone to jail, you
ALWAYS
have to make sure
they are aware of why they are going to jail and make sure you have read them their rights. Miranda
rights:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do
not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court.
Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
For example, if you are sending someone to jail for murder before you press the send to jail
button you
must tell them, such as “You are going to jail for murdering a civilian, do you
understand everything that has been said to you today sir?”.
● Helicopter’s inside of Green Zones and in general If a helicopter is illegally flying in
a green zone, you have the right to “metagame” (This means you can use the scroll
wheel or ¬ key to find out their name) their name and message them a warning such as
“Leave the green zone within 30 seconds or you will be fired upon”. Once the warning
has been issued, if they do not comply you are authorised to engage upon them with
lethal force to disable, not kill. If questioned how you found out their name, simply
respond with “The registration of your helicopter was used to identify you”. The reason
this is allowed with helicopter’s is because we cannot ANPR them like ground vehicles.
● Searching a Vehicle/Person As a police officer you have the power to stop and
search anyone if you have ‘reasonable grounds ’ to suspect they’re carrying: Illegal
drugs, a weapon, stolen property etc. You can only stop and search without reasonable
grounds if it has been approved by a senior police officer. The only times this will happen
are during riots, bank robberies and so forth. Before you search you must have told the
person: Your name, What you expect to find, eg: drugs, The reason you want to search
them, Why you are legally allowed to search them and then continue with the search. Do
not search vehicles for casual offences!
● Detaining Someone .You may not leave someone restrained for more than 5 minutes
on their own. If you are in a situation such as a gun fight, these 5 minutes do not apply.
● Driving in HQ Police should not race up and down in the Police HQ’s as it’s seen
dangerous and it’s not professional. If you want to race around go on as Civilian.
● Searching Houses Before raiding a house, the owner of the house must be ONLINE
and in POLICE CUSTODY . You cannot raid the house without good reason.

● Crushing and impounding vehicles A vehicle may only be crushed for the following
reasons: Carrying illegal substances, VDM, it’s an illegal vehicle, any vehicle involved in
a bank robbery or hostage situations.
Wait till fight is over before crushing!
● Stopping Vehicles The police can stop a vehicle for any reason. If you ask them to
stop, they should always pull over. They’re breaking the law if they don’t. When stopped,
the police can ask to see the owner's Driving Licence and Vehicle Registration. If the
person does not have a Driving Licence on them, that is a moderate offence!
● Cops killing cops
If a high rank supt or up hears about you killing cops you
WILL be
given an official warning and if this keeps up you
WILL be kicked from the Police.
● Plain Clothed Duty Inspector and above and SCO19 can go on Plain Clothed Duty
this means they can wear civ clothes and backpacks. When they are going on Plain
Clothed Duty they can log in to the server with a Name without their rank or anything in
Brackets they must use a normal name e.g Roger Moore. When you are in Athira or
Kavala you may have 2 units (4 People) on plain clothed Duty this means you have plain
clothes on and a backpack you will also carry the standard police gear. (Night vision,
(Holstered at all times)

When you are on Plain clothed Duty you should at all times still obey the laws and server
rules you can engage in a firefight if your life or the life of bystanders are in danger
otherwise leave the area and call in backup. If you are found to be abusing the Plain
Clothed Duty you will be removed from it and not allowed to use it anymore and may
even go through the disciplinary procedure with your Chief Superintendent.
● Plain Clothed Duty / Undercover While undercover if you go to arrest a civilian you
must identify yourself first and put a police cap on you should always carry a police cap.
● Plain Clothed Duty / Undercover You can not attend a fed robbery in undercover you
have to be uniform. There is several stations around Altis to gear up into police gear.
● Rebel Vehicles Police will not use any rebel vehicles as they are illegal any cop found
in one
WILL be given an official warning and if this keeps up you
WILL be kicked
from the Police
.
● Checkpoints You must have a Senior Police Constable or above with you whilst
holding a checkpoint, you must also have 4 officers there at all times. Before creating a
checkpoint, please advise a commanding officer and ask for approval.
● Raiding Raiding must not last longer than 10 minutes, you cannot raid the same
location again for 1 hour. A SGT or above must approve of the raid and must be present
for the raid taking place!

● 3 minute rule Before opening fire on a vehicle you must chase the suspect for at least
3 minutes. If you have lost them for any reason but find them after a couple of minutes,
the 3 minute rule will most likely be done depending on how long you lost them for (we
suggest having a timer with you when chasing some one). If it is an illegal vehicle or they
are shooting from the back of an off road, you may engage immediately.
● Breaking the law in green zone If the law is broken within the green zone, i.e illegal
weapon out or on their back, using illegal narcotics, please report this to a Moderator or
above and they will be kicked or banned for it.
Failure to Adhere to these rules and Guidelines will result in disciplinary action.
Section 5 Radio Communication
Setting up Whispers

tep 1:
Select ‘Tools’ then select ‘Whisper List’
Step 2: At the bottom left you will see three buttons, ‘New’ ‘Remove’ and ‘Rename’. You want to
select ‘New’
Step 3: Once you have selected ‘New’ you need to select a whisper button. I suggest selecting
your numpad numbers, this will be your whisper list button (the button you hold to whisper to a
selected channel.)
Step 4: Once you have selected a button to be your whisper button, you then want to look to the
furthest right column and select ‘Channels’. You will then see a large list drop down, you now
need to select what channel you will be whispering when you press the selected button. (you
can select multiple channel)

Controls > View inside ARMA 3)

Frequently asked questions
1. How do I achieve a promotion?
Promotions are given to those that have been identified mainly due to their level of successful role play and
their dedication to the police force as a whole. If you are identified as being a successful member of the
police force and are deserving of a promotion you may be highlighted to your Supt or C/Supt by a senior
officer, which will increase your chance of promotion.
2. If I am with a higher ranking officer, am I allowed to drive their vehicle even if it is
usually inaccessible to my rank?
Yes, If a higher ranking officer gives you their permission and you are under their supervision you may have
access to their vehicles. For example: If you are a PCSO and a Sergeant is travelling in an SUV, you are
completely entitled to travel in their vehicle, also under their supervision you may drive the vehicle. However
there are exceptions to this rule such as with helicopters and boats.
3. Am I allowed to camp drug related areas in order to catch people carrying drugs, such
as: The drug fields, Processing plants or the NPC drug dealers?
Yes you are, but only for 10 minutes. After your ten minute time limit is up you have to move from the area
and continue your normal duties. If you are caught camping any of these places for longer than the 10
minute limit you may be suspect to disciplinary procedures. Aside from that it is plainly unfair from both a
roleplay perspective and a rebel perspective and you will often find that people who disobey this rule will be
reported by rebels on the forums. Be warned it is not illegal to just be standing in a drug field they must be
picking the drugs.
4. What will happen if I wear gear or use equipment that is inappropriate or inaccessible
for my rank? (EG I found an MXM on a higher officer’s corpse)
This is in fact against the rules of the Police force however the severity of punishment will entirely depend on
how frequently you forget to follow this rule. Verbal warnings followed by actual warnings, followed by
removal after 3 warnings. This is something we take very seriously! If you are given permission by a higher
officer, fantastic. Do NOT abuse this! If you are given an MXM for a bank robbery, that does not mean you
can roll around Kavala as a PCSO with an MXM! Sell it afterwards!

Section 7 Disciplinary Procedure
There is a Warning procedure in the Police, you may get 3 warnings, after this warning you will
be dismissed from the force. A single warning may be removed over time if you show hard work
and commitment to the force and there is no more discretions against you. If you get 2 warnings
however this will then stay on your record and may slow down you promotion progression within
the force. also if you are giving a higher rank in the force and are seen to be abusing any of the
privileges within that rank you will demoted and the position will be rethought.
Disciplinary Map
1. Talking to and rules reiterated to you
and you may have to retake training

2. Pulled up and given first official warning.
3. Pulled up and given second official warning.
4. Third warning commissioners may be involved.
5. You will be removed from the force and possibly banned.
● Depending on the rules you brake you may skip the first 3 and move
straight onto being removed from the force and possibly banned from the
server.
