(AC-S13) Week 13 - Task: Assignment -

Let's go shopping!

Hello! Now it's time for you to do the Task for this week. I invite you to check the
instructions below. Remember that if you need to review a topic, you can
always go back as many times as you need. Keep in mind that you have to
present this homework during week 13.
 

1. Activity Learning Outcome


Through this activity, students work in pairs or groups and record a short video
dialogue about asking for information and buying products in a shop.
 

2. Description

 Step 1: In pairs or groups of three, choose your roles:


o Student A: Shopper who is going to ask about products to sellers
1 and 2.
o Student B: Seller 1 who is going to answer student A's questions.
o Student A/C: Seller 2 who is going to answer student A/B's
questions.

 Step 2: Make a list with the possible questions and answers to use in the
dialogue to talk about prices, products, size, etc. Example:
o Can you help me, please?
o Excuse me, I'm looking for a pair of sandals... 
o Do you have this in (color)?
o Do you offer a discount?
o How much is it?
o Cash or credit?
o Do you deliver?

 Step 3: Look at the grammar tense to use in your dialogue. 


o Use the grammar of Present simple (affirmative, negative,
questions – Wh-questions & Yes/No questions)
o Use expressions like How much? some/any/a/an
 Step 4: Write your dialogue with your group.
o Practice the pronunciation and intonation of sentences and
questions.
o Remember to use the correct spelling of the words and
punctuation.
o Choose a video program to record the video.
o Remember to speak naturally, don’t read the dialogue.
 Step 5: It's time to record your video dialogue. Remember it's a dialogue with
interaction. Avoid Yes/no answers. Say complete sentences (subject + verb +
complement).

3. Materials to be used

 Vocabulary: Numbers, colors, currency, shops, items sold at shops

 Format: Video (mp4) or Word format with Youtube link. 
 Duration of the video: 1:30 - 2:00 minutes
 Name of the video: Write your last names and names. Example:
RamirezJosé_MendozaRocío.mp4
 Deadline: Sunday of Week 13
 Introduce yourselves at the beginning of the document.
