ETAPA GUIADA

"How many" y "how much" en inglés

Con ellos usamos how many: How many cars are there in your garage?
Con ellos usamos how much: How much water is there in that glass?
La práctica
Vamos a ver primero cómo usamos la estructura How many… are there?:

¿Cuántos parques hay en esta ciudad?

How many parks are there in this city?

¿Cuántos bancos hay en este pueblo?

How many banks are there in this village?

¿Cuántos rascacielos hay en Madrid?

How many skyscrapers are there in Madrid?

Ahora nos fijamos en la estructura How much… is there?.

¿Cuánto crimen hay en Nueva York?

How much crime is there in New York?

¿Cuánta polución hay en China?

How much pollution is there in China?

¿Cuánta luz solar hay en las Canarias?

How much sunlight is there in the Canaries?

How much news is there about the new plan?

¿Cuánta gente hay en tu familia?

How many people are there in your family?

¿Cuantos consejos hay en la carta?

How much advice is there in the letter?

A few, a little: ¿cuándo usar a few y cuando usar a little ?

o All he wanted was a few moments to read alone, Todo lo que quería era algunos momentos
para leer solo.
o We travelled a few weeks around the country, Viajamos algunas semanas por el país.
2. A little se utiliza con sustantivos incontables. Se traduce como ‘algo’, ‘un poco’.
o She saves a little money every week, Ella ahorra un poco de dinero cada semana.
o I have a little milk you can drink, Tengo un poco de leche que puedes beber.

● Don’t take all the cookies, just have a few. No cojas todas las galletas, coge solo unas pocas.

A lot
There are a lot of flowers in the garden.
(Hay muchas flores en el jardín).
