Information about the Author

Charlotte Brontë is an English novelist who is the eldest of the three Brontë brothers whose
novels have become classics of English literature. In May 1846, Charlotte, Emily and Anne
jointly published their collection of poetry under the pseudonyms Currer, Ellis and Acton
Bell. Although only two copies were sold, the three brothers continued to write for
publication and started their first novel. Charlotte used the name "Currer Bell" when she
published her first two novels.
Charlotte died with the baby in her womb on March 31, 1855, at the young age of 38. She
died of lung disease (TB), but many biographers suggest that she probably died of
dehydration and malnutrition, caused by the excessive vomiting caused by her pregnancy.
There is also evidence to suggest that Charlotte died of typhus contracted from Tabitha
Ackroyd, the eldest housemaid of the Brontë family, who died some time before Charlotte.
Charlotte is buried in the family cemetery at St Michael and All Angels Church, in Haworth,
West Yorkshire, England.

Personal Opinion

My favourite quote from this book is “There is no happiness like that of being loved by your
fellow creatures, and feeling that your presence is an addition to their comfort.” In this quote,
I feel like I feel loved by someone with God's blessing so I don't feel worried about her love.

Recommendation

I recommend this book to people who feel that their life is always in a cave with no way out,
who can't see the beauty of the world outside, meet various people and feel the feeling of
being loved by someone.
