Unit/ Title: Projection of lines

Q1. A straight line AB is 50mm long and is parallel to both HP and VP. It is 40mm above the HP and 25mm
in front of the VP. Draw its front, top and left side projections.

Q2. A straight line AB is 50mm long, perpendicular to HP, and parallel to VP. The end A is 20mm above
the HP and 25mm in front of the VP. Draw its projections & show the HT.

Q3. A straight line AB is 50mm long and parallel to HP, and makes a 30º angle with the VP. The end A is
20mm above the HP and 25mm in front of the VP. Draw its projections & show the VT.

Q4. A straight line AB is 50mm long and parallel to VP, and makes a 30º angle with the HP. The end A is
20mm above the HP and 25mm in front of the VP. Draw its projections & show the HT.

Q5. A straight line AB of 50mm length makes a 30º angle with the HP and a 45º angle with the VP. The end
A is 15mm above the HP and 30mm in front of VP. Draw its projections & show the HT & VT.

Q6. A straight line AB, 70 mm long, makes 60º with the HP and 30º with the VP. One of its ends is in the
HP and 35 mm away from the VP. The other end is in the VP. Draw the projections of this line if it is in
the 3rd quadrant.

Q7. A straight line AB of 100 mm length is inclined at 50º to the HP. The end A is 10mm above the HP and
end B is 65 mm in front of the VP. Draw the projection of the line if its front view measures 90mm.
Locate both of its traces. Also find its angles with the VP and HP.
