Course Code: EST 110
Course Name: ENGINEERING GRAPHICS

Part A

Answer any TWO questions

CO Marks

1 A line AB, 50 mm long, has its end A in both the H.P. and the V.P. It is inclined at 30° to CO1 10
the H.P. and at 45° to the V.P. Draw its projections. CO2

2 A line AB, inclined at 40° to the V.P., has its ends 50 mm and 20 mm above the H.P. The CO1 10
length of its front view is 65 mm and its V.T. is 10 mm above the H.P. Determine the true CO2
length of AB, its inclination with the H.P and its H.T.

3 A line AB measuring 100 mm has its VT 15 mm above the HP. The projectors through a CO1 10
and VT are 75 mm apart. If the end A is 40 mm above the HP and 20 mm in front of the CO2
VP, draw the projection and find the true inclinations with the reference planes. What is the
height of the HT above the HP?

Part B

Answer any TWO Questions

CO Marks

4 A triangular prism of base side 30 mm and length 50 mm has a base edge on HP, axis CO1 15
inclined at 35⁰ to HP. The base edge on which it is rests is inclined 45⁰ to VP. Draw the CO2
projections of solid

5 Draw the projections of a pentagonal pyramid 40 mm side and axis 70 mm long, if it is CO1 15
resting on one of its base edges with the axis making an angle of 30⁰ with HP and top view CO2
of the axis making an angle of 45⁰ with XY-line.

6 A cone of base diameter 70 mm and axis 80 mm long is resting on its base in the HP. It is 15
CO1
cut by a section plane perpendicular to the VP, inclined at 45⁰ to the HP and cutting the
axis at a point 35 mm from the apex. Draw its front view, sectional top view and true shape CO2
of the section.
