Q1 M3 - Philosophy (Geolina, Lance Francis R.)
I CAN I CANNOT
SWIM IN THE OCEAN HOLD MY BREATH WITHOUT LIMIT
2. There are really things that we can do and we cannot do because our body has its own limit
that prevents us from doing so. If we force ourselves doing things that we cannot do, there is a
big possibility that we might face its consequences that will make us suffer. Just like how we
possess our own strength and capabilities, we also have its own weaknesses and limitations.
Guide Questions:
1. The things that were used in the given are rocket and a diving set which includes swimming
googles, snorkels and flippers. I selected to use the rocket because it is the only vehicle
that is able to fly and reach up to the sky. Whereas for Maria, I selected the diving set for
her because she wanted to enjoy her journey towards Marina’s house by interacting with
sea creatures and coral reefs viewing.
2. Yes, I would definitely agree that it is necessary because you can't do or get what you want
without proper materials or equipment's to use. Just like in the selection, I can't use a
broom and a car to reach the moon since it is not capable of flying. On the latter, Marina
will not enjoy his journey if she will ride a wide bucket or an inflatable lifesaver.
1. MAN GETS HUNGRY – As a human, we tend to do things that will suffice our needs. In the
given picture and concept, a man will always find ways to satisfy his hunger. He can think
of possible ways to get the apple from the tree such as climbing on it, throwing stones or
using long sticks to poke it in falling.
2. MAN, AND HIS FINAL END – We live in a world where we can freely do what we want as
we have the freedom to express ourselves. Regardless of different contradictions towards
our action and behavior, we are still capable of doing things as we follow our hearts. But
the downside of this is that everything has its own ends including our life. We will not be
able to do what we want anymore because this phenomenon would not allow us as the
vessel in which our soul lives is not capable of doing it at all.

Part 2 Essay:
1. For Aristotle, man is composed of body and soul where the union of these are evident.
On the other hand, Plato also believed that man is composed of body and soul but for
him, the body is like a vessel or prison in which imprisons and limits the soul. Thus,
dichotomy is evident.
2. For Plato, our soul is limited because of our body as he believed that the body is just a
prison that limits the soul. While Aristotle on the other hand believed that it's because of
our body towards why we have knowledge about the world.

MY LITTLE CHILD: FLY HIGH, SOAR HIGH!
Mother: You silly boy. HAHAHAAHAHAHAH. So, why would you like to “be” like superman huh?
Little boy: It’s because I want to look the world from up above. I just want to fly like him, having
a tour around the globe! Aaarrgghh! it makes my heart flutter just by telling you things like
this!
Mother: Hmmm I don’t think you aren't capable of flying since you weren't born with super
powers just like superman HAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH. Also, believe in magic and powers all
you want but magic and power is non-existent.
The little boy just gave him a slight smile, knowing that his dreams won't come true because
he doesn’t have the ability to fly.
Mother: Hey! Cheer up my baby. You may not be able to fly but I know a thing in which enables
you to have a tour and look things from above.
The slight smile that the little boy had become bigger as he heard about a possible way
that will allow him to do things that he want to do.
