UK VISA PROCESS (General Student Visa – Tier 4)

 You can apply for your Visa application, 6 months (180 days) before your course start date.

 You need to have the CAS letter (Confirmation of acceptance for Studies), CAS letter is valid
for 1-time visa application only.

 Submit all the documents in original & 2 sets of Xerox, scanned copy along with the
complete filled online visa form.

 If any document is in regional language, the same needs to be translated in English from the
certified translator. Each translated document must be dated, and include the translator's name
and signature and confirmation that it is an accurate translation of the original document.

 You have to go for tuberculosis tests from the approved test clinics before the visa
application, as per the below link:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/tuberculosis-test-for-a-uk-visa-clinics-in-
india/tuberculosis-testing-in-india

 We will then assess and verify the documents, prepare the visa file and put a covering letter.
Once that is done, the applicant needs to register on the UK visa website and book an
appointment for submitting the application along with other documents. After this the visa
fees are paid (£348).

 Final submission is done at VFS. You’ll need to have your fingerprints and photograph
taken at a visa application centre (to get a biometric residence permit) as part of your
application.

 It usually takes 3-4 weeks to get the final decision after the submission. Sometimes in case
of an urgent requirement, a fast-track option is available. Fast-track takes 5 working days
with an additional charge.

 Visa will be issued with a vignette in the passport which is valid for 90 days from the
intended travel date in the visa application.
