Discussion question: Answer the following questions.

I. If you were the Secretary of the Department of Tourism in the Philippines, what types of
assistance will you request from the UNWTO?

-If I were the Secretary of the Philippines' Department of Tourism, I would ask the UNWTO
for financial aid to help fund the building of several tourist attractions. We have many
magnificent tourist attractions in the Philippines, but some have already been taken for
granted due to the local government's inability to maintain them due to a lack of funding.

II. Do you think that education should be one of the main functions of any tourism organization?
Why or why not?

- Yes, because education will allow us to develop the professional, technical, and practical abilities
that are most needed in the tourism industry. Aside from that, we will be able to use our past
experiences and lessons to improve, market, and make goals that will safeguard and trade our
tourist organization in general.
