KELAS : AGROTEKNOLOGI C
3. Internode = The portion of a stem between two nodes. the level of insertion of
two successive leaves or leaf pairs (or branches of an inflorescence).
5. Leaf = a special organ of vegetation in the form of lateral growth from the stem, usually green in
color, growing from the sides of the trunk and twigs.
6. Root system = A developed system of roots. The network of underground roots and other plant
structures found below ground level.
8. Fruit = fruit is the seed-bearing structure in flowering plants (also known as angiosperms) formed
from the ovary after flowering.
9. Internode = The portion of a stem between two nodes. the level of insertion of
two successive leaves or leaf pairs (or branches of an inflorescence).
10. Stem = Stems are the main structural support for most complex plants. The stem is basically a
plant skeleton that supports other plant organs such as leaves where photosynthesis takes place.
11. Taproot = The main, descending root of a plant that has a single, dominant main stem.
12. Lateral roots = plant roots that extend horizontally from the main root (radicle). They serve to
anchor the plant securely to the soil.
No. 2 Tell the function of basic part of plants
1. Root: Absorbing water and minerals. Thin-walled epidermal cells and root hairs are well suited to
absorb water and dissolved minerals from the soil, Anchoring and supporting the plant: Root
systems help anchor plants to the ground, allowing plants to grow tall without toppling over, and
Storing food.
2. Stems: The main functions of stems are to support and elevation of leaves, fruits, and flowers.
Stem arranges leaves in a way that it gets direct sunlight to perform photosynthesis.. Stems stores
food, water, and nutrients.
3. Leaves: leaf is actually called ‘the kitchen of the plant’. This is because they are the
main organresponsible for photosynthesis, and products food or energy.
5. Fruits: The functions of the fruit is to protect the seed inside and aid in its dispersal.
6. Seeds: seeds are the main way to reproduce and spread. The seed contains an embryo that will
grow into a new plant. Seeds also contain food reserves for the embryo until its roots and leaves
develop.
