A. Shallow Contour : Ship’s Static Draft + Squat+ (Under Keel requested as per SMS)
B. Safety Contour : Ship’s Static Draft X 2 , Or Static draft Plus 20% of Beam
Safety Depth : Same as above B
C. Deep Contour : 50 or 100 metres
Shallow Contour will be the NO GO AREA (No ‘’User Map file’’ requested)

( ‘’User Map file’’ requested: Warning area must be prepared and marked on all
ENC AND PRO+ CHARTS, which shall include any isolated depth of ’20 m’ out of
Shallow Contour.)

1. Clear Marking on All Chart Scales by Warning Line and TEXT
on the beginning of the area that Restricted area Begins where SPEED/TIME AND TIDE
LIMITATIONS EXIST , also Marking same the termination of Restricted Area
(save the markings as a file)
2. Detailed Under Keel Clearance calculation and SAFETY Time Windows and Speed
that required in order to pass Safely from the Shallowest parts of the Specific RESTRICTED AREA,
FORM N001 SON, ‘’DEFINITION OF MINIMUM CHART DEPTH REQUIRED ’’ as
included on all calculations using the N001 Form.
A. Safety Contour : 20 m (That only in order to be prominent ,easily visible, the following Safety Depth)
B. Safety Depth: MINIMUM CHART DEPTH REQUIRED (e.g 22 m)
C. NO GO AREAS Marking by Editing Warning Areas, covering all the Minimum Chart Depth required.
All depths of 22 mtrs and less which are out of 20 mtrs Contour will be now EMPHASISED as BOLD.
Note the relevant User Map Files Names saved, on Passage Plan Form.
Manually inserted ‘WARNING AREA, User Map FILE’ will be the NO GO AREA
