Grant of Provisional Admission
1. The allotment of a seat in the programme is as per the preference of choices exercised by you in
the application form and the attained merit position. It is likely that the programme allotted to you might
not be the FIRST preferred choice, however, you will remain in selection process for upgradation as per
your preferences, on availability of seats due to drop-outs and no-responses of provisionally selected
candidates, provided you deposit your dues in time.

2. NUST copy of paid Fee Invoice of Rs. 155, 700/- on account of the following:-
(1) Admission Processing Fee - Rs. 35,000/-
(Once at the time of admission) (Non-Refundable)
(2) Security Deposit - Rs. 10,000/-
(Refundable)
(3) 1st Semester Tuition Fee - Rs. 108,000/-
(4) Miscellaneous Fee - Rs. 2700

3. Kindly note that this selection status will remain provisional till the selected candidates fully
meet the “eligibility criteria” including aggregate 60% and above marks both in SSC and HSSC level /
equivalent exams. The selection is further subject to production/ validity, correctness and verification
of original testimonials and antecedents to the entire satisfaction of the University. These original
documents will be checked at the time of joining the respective Schools / Colleges. Revealing of any
discrepancy at any stage may lead to cancellation of admission.
4. Date of Commencement of Programme. Classes of all Engineering / Computer Science
programmes will tentatively commence from 15 November 2021 except following:-

5. Whereas the detailed joining instructions will be issued by your concerned School / College, I
would, however, like to share with you some relevant instructions and guidelines to facilitate your
admission and joining process. I would also suggest that you should go through the details of your
allotted Programme given on our website. Queries are welcome and be preferred for clarifications /
satisfaction.
6. Arrival. You are required to reach at your concerned School / College as per time & date
which will also be intimated to you by the concerned school / college in their detailed joining instructions
well in advance. In order to facilitate candidates in planning their journey for joining various campuses
of NUST, a list of the same is given below along with necessary details/addresses.

a. Original SSC / Equivalence Certificate and detailed Marks sheet with minimum 60%

c. Attested photo-copy of CNIC or Form B and attested photo-copy of CNIC of father /
guardian. Any difference in the name of student /father in CNIC and Matric / O level
certificate be corrected at the time of admission.
d. Passport-size colour photographs, duly attested, as per requirement given in the joining
instructions issued by the respective School / College.
e. Medical Fitness Certificate duly issued by any Government hospital OR a Registered
Medical Practitioner. The certificate can be downloaded from our website alongwith the
provisional selection letter and submitted to the School / College at the time of joining.
f. Negative PCR test for COVID-19 taken within 72 hours prior to joining NUST.
g. Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination issued by NADRA.
In order to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and its transmissible variants leading to new
waves of infection to the university community and especially student body and their loved ones. It is a
mandatory requirement for all 17+ provisionally selected candidates to get vaccinated on fast-track basis
as entry into the University without NADRA vaccination certificate is not allowed as per HEC directive.
It is mandatory to submit negative PCR test for COVID-19 taken 72 hrs prior to joining NUST.
9. Tuition Fee. Tuition fee will be charged on semester basis in advance. Candidates are required
to deposit first semester fee with the admission processing fee and security deposit as per Fee Invoice
available with provisional Selection letter on NUST website. Fee Invoice is payable at any branch of
Habib Bank Ltd throughout Pakistan.
10. Refund Policy for new students of session 2021. Refund policy on deposited amount is as
under:-
a. Admission processing fee is not refundable in any case
b. Security deposit is refundable subject to production of clearance certificate from the
concerned NUST School/College.
c. Tuition fee deposited with the admission dues will be refunded in full, if application for
refund is received up to 7th day of convene of classes. (including weekdays and
weekends)
d. Half (50%) tuition fee deposited with the admission dues will be refunded, if application
for refund is received from 8th to 15th day of convene of classes. (including weekdays and
weekends)

e. No tuition fee will be refunded if application for refund is received on or after 16th day
of convene of classes. (including weekdays and weekends)

11. Hostel Accommodation. Hostel accommodation is available for outstation students and is
allotted as per Hostels Allotment Criteria as per the given guideline:-
a. Students registered for statutory courses in the University (Islamabad Campus only)
stand eligible to apply for Hostel Accommodation by login to their account on NUST
webpage https://ugadmissions.nust.edu.pk
b. Students joining other NUST constituent institutions (other than those located at the
Main Campus, Sector H-12, Islamabad) will apply directly to respective
Commandants/Principals for the purpose. Contact number / email of Military

c. Students whose programs are changed and upgraded, involving shifting of campus, will
apply afresh for hostel accommodation (as the case may be). Such candidates will also
apply to the concerned authority for release of hostel security (if already paid) so as to
settle his/her account accordingly.
a. NUST offers merit based financial assistance up to Rs. 18,000 per semester to the
students securing top three positions, in their section, in each semester.

b. Financially challenged students may apply for interest free loans (deferment of tuition
fee, Qarz-e- Hasana etc), after commencement of classes. Information regarding how to

c. In addition to above, students facing financial problems due to sudden changes in
financial profile, after admission in NUST, may apply for NUST Need based
Scholarship. To apply students are required to submit Scholarship Application form
available at URL: https://nust.edu.pk/admissions/scholarships/nnbs-and-hec-
scholarship-forms/ in their respective institutions (w.e.f 2nd Semester onwards).
13. Student Support Services. In addition to a host of facilities created & maintained by the
University for supplementing and facilitating academic pursuits of students, it has an array of co-
curricular and sports activities to nurture both intellectual & physical talents of the students. Details of
Clubs & Societies, Sports & Recreation are given on NUST website.
14. Adherence to University Norms, Rules & Regulations. In order to maintain a conducive and
enabling environment to support academic endeavours of the students, the University has laid down a
Code of Conduct to be followed and complied with by the students during their stay in the University.
It is available on NUST website in the form of UG Student Handbook. It is suggested you to read the
UG Student Handbook containing rules and regulations governing academic activities and examinations
so as to optimally utilize the academic facilities of the University and excel in your pursuits.
