Standing Expert Group for Indian Railways Unified Documents for Standard
Schedule of Rates and Specifications for Works and Materials.
Railway Board's letter no. 2009/LMB/01/03, dated 14/0112010, conveying
approval of Board on the Unified Documents of SOR & Specifications.

The competent authority in Railway Board have approved nomination of following officers
as Standing Expert Group for systematised functioning of Indian Railway's already approved
Unified Documents for Standard Schedule of Rates and Specifications for Works and Materials:

1. Sr. Professor/Works, IRICEN - Member

2. ED/Works, RDSO - Member
3. Director Finance (X)-I, Railway Board - Member
4. Shri K. Raveendra Babu, CGE, S.C. Railway - Member
5. Shri Alok Kumar, EDCE(G), Railway Board - Convenor cum Member Secretary

While the nominations of officers for the Standing Expert Group vide SL-1, 2 & 3 above
are by designation, the nominations at SL-4 & 5 above are by name.

Zonal Railways may suggest modifications/corrections to the existing items and also
additions of new items in these documents by sending vetted analysis of rates, wherever
applicable as per need on their systems to the nominated Standing Expert Group.

All such communications shall be examined by the Standing Expert Group and on its
recommendation, a Correction Slip to this effect to the Software & the Unified Documents will be
issued by Railway Board every year in the last week of November, so that Zonal Railways generate
Correction Slips to their respective USSORs etc. for implementation w.e.f. January next.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate in Ministry of Railways.
