regarding continues night duty for running staff
Ref : (i) Railway Board's letter no. E(LL)/2016/HPC/7 dated 13.10.16
(ii) Railway Board's letters no. 2016/Eiect(TRS)/113/Safety Mise
dated 24.01.17

Several references have been received from Zonal Railways requesting to

review the instruction issued vide Board's letter under ref. (ii) i.e. continuous
night duty for Running Staff should be limited to 2 nights as it is in
contradiction to the recommendation [Item no. (vi)] of High Power Committee on
night duty for Running Staff circulated vide Board's letter under ref.(i).

Accordingly, the matter has been reviewed and it has been decided that
instruction of the letter under ref.(ii) may be modified and read as under:

"Continuous night duty for Running Staff should be limited to 4

nights with fourth night towards headquarters as already circulated vide
Board's letter no. E(LL)/2016/HPCn dated 13.10.16"

This issues with the approval of Board(MTR).
