INFORMATION REGARDING POSTGRADUATE

ADMISSIONS FALL-2021
1. PhD and MSc/MS candidates must apply in the following specilizations in the relevent Disciplines and must mention
the name of specilizations on application form respectively.

2. PhD candidates must apply in the following Main Disciplines:-

 Mathematics
3. The MSc/MS candidates must qualify the exam conducted by the respective Departments on the date notified in the
schedule listed below.
4. MSc/MS programs shall be opened to Candidates with BSc. Engineering/Equivalent qualification in the relevant Branch of
Engineering recognized by PEC with minimum CGPA 2.5/4.00 in the Semester System or 60% marks in the Annual
System. The candidates whose BSc result is awaited are also eligible to apply however, they must provide the BSc result
sheet at the time of interview.
5. For admission in MS (Math/ Physics), a candidate must hold a degree of BS Math/BS Physics or MSc Math/MSc Physics.
6. For admission in MS Computer Science, the minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 in the Semester System or 60% marks in the
Annual System are required. The candidates with 16 years of education in the domains (Information Technology, Software
Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science) are eligible to apply.
7. For admission in MS Data Science, the minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 in the Semester System or 60% marks in the Annual
System are required. The candidates with 16 years of education in the domains (Information Technology, Software
Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics) are eligible to
apply.
8. The PhD programs shall be opened to the candidates who have Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in the relevant
disciplines/specializations recognized by the University and PEC with minimum CGPA 3.00/4.00 in the Semester System
or 60% marks in the Annual System. The candidates whose MSc result is awaited are eligible to apply, however, they must
provide the MSc/MS passed result sheet at the time of interview.
9. The PhD candidates must qualify the subjective test conducted by the respective Departments, UET, Taxila as per HEC
Criteria notified in the schedule listed below.
10. All the students admitted in Postgraduate programs will pay the fee as per prescribed policy by the University. In case of
their selection in any funded project/ engaged by the University, scholarship/ stipend will be provided as per University
Rules.
11. UET Rules and Regulations mentioned in the Prospectus inculuding the current University policy approved by the
Academic Council/Syndicate will be applicable.
12. NOC is required from employer (where applicable)
13. It is mandatory for all applicants to deposit the application fee or send the Postal Order/Bank Draft of Rs. 5000/- (non-
refundable) in favour of Treasurer UET Taxila, payable at HBL UET Taxila, must be submitted along with application form
completed in all respect to the Office of Chairman of the concerned Department as per Schedule given below:-
