GOLDEN RATIO USED IN ARCHITECTURE

The golden ratio is used in many ways and can be applied to many aspects of our everyday lives. The
golden ratio is a mathematical ratio that is used to be able to create a design that is very much natural-
looking and being organic. We can also observe the golden ratio naturally, for example, flowers like
sunflowers and also the natural structure of human faces. Using and applying the golden ratio in many
things like architecture makes it be more aesthetically pleasing. Using the golden ratio for such things
also gives the architectural structure that is being built with things like the structure having a sense of
natural balance and balanced harmony. Overall, the usage of the golden ratio provides a sense of
attraction to the eyes and gives a sense of natural harmony and balance. This is why the use of the
golden ratio, as shown in the picture above, is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is balanced.

FIBONACCI SEQUENCE IN NATURE

The Fibonacci Sequence is a series of numbers discovered by Leonardo Pisano, known as Fibonacci. The
Fibonacci sequence is a sequence in which each term is the sum of the 2 numbers preceding it. For
example, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and so on and so forth. There are various observations, uses, and
applications for the Fibonacci Sequence. The Fibonacci Sequence was also discovered to be observable
in nature itself. The Fibonacci numbers are found in the arrangement of seeds on flower heads. They can
also be observed in the arrangement of the petals of flowers. The application of the Fibonacci Sequence
is not only limited and observed in nature but also in many things like music. Fibonacci numbers
harmonize naturally and the exponential growth which the Fibonacci sequence typically defines in
nature is made present in music by using Fibonacci notes. The intervals between keys on a piano of the
same scales are Fibonacci numbers. The application of Fibonacci Sequence is wide and can be observed
frequently around us.
