Local Campaigns regarding drug abuse (1)

One of the campaigns about drug abuse is the “Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation
No. 124, dated November 26, 2001. The third week of November of every year has been
declared as Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week to promote public awareness against the
evil effects of illegal drug use as well as public cooperation in the government's anti-drug
campaign”, that is according to an official site from the web [ CITATION Dep1 \l 1033 ].

1. State Aid Campaign

The drug problem is undeniably a public health concern that must be addressed as soon as
possible since it leads to a slew of health and social issues. The Philippines is undergoing a
severe anti-drug cleanse under President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's administration, thanks to the
combined efforts of national government agencies, non-government organizations, faith-based
organisations, and the corporate sector. A variety of tactics must be put in place and
operationalized in order to combat the drug problem. The government's stepped-up campaign
to combat illicit substances will only be successful if it is implemented on several fronts.
2. Lower Crime rates nationwide

The government's "winning" assault on illicit narcotics is "evidence" that the government is
"winning" under Duterte's rule. The chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Directorial
Staff, Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, stated on Wednesday. Eleazar observed that residents in
barangays credited the initiative with improving peace and order. According to figures from the
Department of the Interior and Local Government, the number of crimes in the Philippines
declined by 11% from 488,644 incidents in July 2017 to 438,496 instances in June 2019. The
decrease in crime volume, according to Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, may be ascribed to
active collaboration between the national government, local government units, residents, and
stakeholders. That was according to the data that we have read on the web, [ CITATION INQ \l
