BIDV (Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam) is one of the biggest public

commercial banks in Vietnam. It was founded in 1957. BIDV not only is the top of public banks
in Vietnam but also ranked as the fouth biggest business in the country in accordance with the
report of United Nations Development Progamme in 2007. It is a trade and services company.

According to BIDV 2020 Annual Final Report, the total revenue of the business in 2020 is
50.037 billion vietnamdong, up 4% compared to 2019. The capital growth 2,6% compared to
last year, until 31/12/2020, the capital of BIDV is a total of 79.647 billion vietnamdong.

The chart above is statistics from the consolidated financial statements of 27 banks, which
show the number of imployees in each banks. BIDV has more than 26000 employee, more than
0,2% compared to 2019.

In Vietnam, a company classified as a large company in trade and commercial sector is when
the total capital of the business is at least more than 10 billion vietnamdong and the scale of
employment is from 50 to more than 100 employees. Therefore, BIDV is considered a large
company as its business scale satisfy these citeria.
