    AVID Tutorials

    AVID tutorials are one of the most important assignments I have done this year. AVID

    tutorials are great because, if I am unsure of how to do something my classmates will always be

    there to help me work through my problem. This year I have done a lot of tutorials on math

    because my skills are lacking in that class, but tutorials help me gain a greater understanding in

    the areas that I need more help in. For example my question was, how do I solve for an angle?

    Using trigonometry to solve this equation and my group mates helping me through my problem,

    I started to get the hang of how to solve for an angle. Tutorials shape my thinking by helping me

    think of my question in a new way and solve it in a way I didn’t think of before. Tutorials also

    focus on group work and working as a team to help solve each other's problems. Overall so far

    this year tutorials really helped me improve my math skills and collaborative skills.
