Indoor air temperature and humidity listed in the design basis will confirm to ASHRAE comfort
recommendations in 2007 ASHRAE Hand book – Fundamentals and ASHRAE Standard 55.

3.2.4 NOISE LEVEL DESIGN CRITERIA

Sound and vibration control is required for both equipment and duct system, as well as in the
selection of diffusers and grilles. The design of the air conditioning system shall be as under
as per recommendation in 1997 ISHRAE Hand book – Section 8 - Noise & vibration Table 8:-

Meeting Rooms & Business centre : NC 25 to 30

3.2.5 AC MAKE UP AIR & FILTRATION

The fresh air quantity considered for various air conditioned areas is as under:-

The world focus has shifted from the Environment to Invironment. This is new terminology,
being used increasingly to focus on the Indoor Air Quality. The indoor air quality goes top list of
concerns. The indoor environment is receiving increased attention, as more information has become
available on the presence and effect of indoor contaminants.

3.3.0 VENTILATION STANDARDS

3.3.1TOILET EXHASUT SYSTEM
At every floor level air will be exhausted. Air Qty is based on volume with 20 air changes /
hour.

Even though NBC Table 5 Recommended Rate of Air Circulation For Different Areas –
Clause 6.5.1 Toilets 6-10 ACPH, with our past experience we recommend 20 ACPH for Toilet
exhaust system, since the building is densely occupied.

3.3.2 KITCHEN EXHAUST SYSTEM

we have considered 45 ACPH for kitchen ventilation, planned separate fresh air and exhaust
air ventilation, this will be inline & match the requirement for the effective Kitchen ventilation
system.

3.3.3 PRESSURISATION SYSTEM

Pressurization method has been adopted to protect the escape routes (Staircases & lift
shafts) from the ingress of smoke.

Single stage pressurization is proposed for this project which will operate in case of
emergency only.

3.4.0 DESIGN PARAMETERS
