Risk Analytics Advisory
The Risk Analytics Advisory is responsible for delivering all phases of analytics project and engagement management
for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. The Risk Analytic team works with internal audit and compliance
teams to develop innovative approaches and data analytics solutions. The Risk Analytics Associate will support Risk
Analytics team on strategic and tactical data and analytic efforts. This position involves quantitative analysis of
structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data using various programming techniques. The responsibilities would
range from initial data scoping and ETL in the audit-planning phase through developing analytical to support strategic
efforts and audit fieldwork.  The type of analysis varies by project, but common types of analysis are fraud detection,
historical modelling, outlier analysis, and data visualizations. The Risk Analytics Associate works closely with senior
associates or managers and plays a key role in client management and practice development.
A successful candidate will be flexible and capable of working on a wide variety of problems.  They will also be hungry
to expand their technical knowledge to expand their toolbox of skills to tackle complex and interdisciplinary technical
problems.

Location:
Bangalore, India.

Skills Required:
 Programming language experience – SQL, R, or Python
 Data visualization experience – Tableau and/or Power BI

Skills Preferred:
 MS Power platform – Power Automate and/or canvas Apps
 Internal audit knowledge – basic understanding of audit concepts and processes;

Primary Responsibilities

 Develop work plans identifying relevant data sets, querying and analyzing data, interacting with audit clients,
and implementing analytics modules using advanced analytics techniques.
 Work independently and with a team to solve problems involving complex and large data sets.
 Comfort requesting data, validating data, and manipulating large data sets to identify trends to inform audit
and strategic business decisions.
 Write SQL and Python applications and scripts.
 Create, manage, and utilize high-performance relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server).
 Create and explain complex analytic findings and techniques using both written and verbal reports.
 Design analytics in alignment with an audit plan and related data; and
 Drive analytic activities that involve the identification of key indicators and outliers from an audit and
compliance perspective.

Other Client responsibilities and skills:


 Execution on client engagement – Ensure quality delivery as per client requirements
 Determine that the work delivered is of high quality through a self-review process for complete and accurate
documentation of testing results and review others’ documentation according to regulatory guidelines
 Ensure compliance with engagement plans and internal quality & risk management procedures of the firm
 Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and escalate issues as appropriate on a timely basis
 Identify & internally escalate and potential red flags related to the engagement on a timely basis
 Motivate others to perform at maximum efficiency without sacrificing the quality of the services delivered.
 Able to work independently and drive results.
 A passion for learning and working effectively in a nimble environment.
 Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Year of Experience:
1 to 3 years of post-graduate experience in Data Analytics, ETL process, Customer Analytics, and Data Modelling

Qualification Required:
 UG or PG in Accounting and/or Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Engineering or an
equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience.

Experience Required:

 Coding experience with relational database models


 Experience and proficiency with relational database models and writing SQL queries
 Experience and proficiency writing Python-based applications
 Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
