WOODBRIDGE WORDS

Pennicott Tour to Iron Pot Lighthouse and putalina/Oyster Cove

The Grade 4/5 and 5/6 students, excitedly boarded two of the Pennicott Wildnerness Journey boats at
the Woodbridge Jetty on Monday. They enjoyed a 3-hour tour exploring the Northern end of the
D’Entrecastaux Channel and took in the sites of Iron Pot Lighthouse, Betty Island and putalina/Oyster
Cove. Although disappointingly there were no whales or dolphins in view on that day, the students still
enjoyed the journey and were able to spy a few Sea Eagles and plenty of nesting sea birds.

A special thanks to Rob and Pennicott Wilderness Journey team, for making this opportunity accessible
for our students.
