TRIANGLE
1. Equilateral Triangle - have all angles equal to 60 degrees and all sides’ equal length.

- have 3 lines of symmetry.

2. Isoscles Triangle -has two equal angles and two sides of equal length.

-has a line of symmetry

3. Scalene Triangle - has no equal angles and no sides of equal length


4. Right Triangle - has one right angles (equal to 90 degrees)

5.Obtuse Triangle -has one obtuse angle (an angle greater than 90 degrees)

- the other two angles are acute (less than 90 degrees)

6. Acute Triangle - have all angles acute


QUADRILATERAL

1 Square -has four equal sides and four right angles

2. Rectangle - has four sides and four right angles

3. Rhombus -has four equal sides

- Both pairs of opposite sides are parallel

4. Parallelogram -has two pairs of parallel sides


5. Trapezoid US -has one pair of parallel sides

6. Kite -has two pairs of equal sides which are adjacent to each other

7. Trapezium US - are quadrilaterals with no parallel sides

(Trapezoid UK)

CURVE SHAPES
1.Circle -has a point in the Centre from which each point on the
diameter

is equidistant

2. Ellipse -has two lines of symmetry

3.Crescent - made when two circles overlap or when one circle is

removed from another circle.

4. Sphere - has either 0 or 1 faces, 0 edges and 0 vertices


5. Cylinder - has either 2 or 3 faces , 0 or 2 edges, and 0 vertices

6. Cone - has either 1 or 2 faces, 0 or 1 edges and 1 apex
