 Heat Pump and Heat Recovery

The primary distinction between a heat pump and heat

recovery cycle is that a heat pump cycle will produce only one
useful effect (i.e. heating or cooling) at a time whereas a heat
recovery cycle will produce both effects simultaneously.

A heat pump VRF system operates all of the indoor units in the
same mode, with several different ways to change the mode of
the system. The energy recovered from the indoor units
operating in one mode in a heat recovery VRF system can be
transferred to one or more indoor units operating in the other
mode.

System Air Conditioner

This installation manual concerns the VRV IV, full inverter driven,
heat pump system.
Model lineup:
 RYMQ8~20=single continuous heating model.
 RYYQ22~54=multi continuous heating model (consisting of 2 or
3 RYMQ modules).
 RXYQ8~20=single non-continuous heating model.
  RXYQ22~54=multi non-continuous heating model (consisting of
2 or 3 RXYQ modules).
 Multi "continuous heating" RYYQ* combinations can never
contain RXYQ* models.
 Multi "non-continuous heating" RXYQ* combinations can never
contain RYMQ* models.

The VRV IV heat pump system can be combined with several types
of indoor units and is intended for R410A use only.

Not all combinations are allowed for indoor units and outdoor units.

single heat pump (RXYQ8-20) or (RYYQ8-20)

Multi combination with 2 outdoor units (RXYQ22-36) or (RYYQ22-36)
Multi combination with 3 outdoor units (RXYQ38-54) or (RYYQ38-54)
