Welcome to our first issue of the Narrow Road Home School newsletter. Each
month we will explore a different topic, and feature articles and artwork by
students. We also hope to get to know one or two of them in each issue. Please

Month: know that these newsletters are created for and by the students. The more
participation, no matter how small, the better – thank you! Now, the weather is
getting good outside so this month we will explore: The Great Outdoors.
“For his invisible qualities are
clearly seen from the world’s
creation onward, because they
are perceived by the things Did You Know?
made, even his eternal power Q: How many parks are there in Florida?
and Godship, so that they are
inexcusable.” Romans 1:20 A: A lot! Research says there are 11 National Parks and many
trails and springs all over Florida. You can find specific parks at
Issue #1 nps.gov or floridastateparks.org, and for local outdoor activities
look at Ocala Parks and Recreation.
OCTOBER 2021 ISSUE Want to have some extra fun when going to the park? Pack a
Theme: The Great picnic and create an outdoor scavenger hunt (or find one on
Outdoors Pinterest). Have fun enjoying the great outdoors!

I like to play outside. When I’m outside, I do a lot of fun things.
Underneath, I wrote down some of them.

Baron and I like to play outside with our Nerf blasters. I also like to
go to skate parks and play with my knee board, skateboard, and
scooter. I also like to play with my chickens. They are so goofy. My
brother, mom, and I built a tee pee. It is about 8 to 10 feet tall. We
put palm fronds on it so that it will be cool inside, even if it is sunny
out.

When Talon and I are hot, here are the things that help us stay
cool.

I like to go outside and play in the swimming pool. Talon and I

built a tent in the front yard. It is really cool. It took a long time to build
but when we were done it looked really cool. We covered the sides
with palm fronds to hide it and so it will keep us cool when it is hot.

So, the next time you want to go outside, try these techniques.
