TITLE: Loving with Death (Melodrama)

First Scene (GARDEN)

Narration:

In a town called Kapitan there lived a man with four beautiful daughters.
The eldest is Maria and the strongest, second is Daniela the smartest, third is
Isabela the adventurous and their youngest and sweetest Rosita. These four
would do heaven and earth just to make each other happy, that is how they
love each other specially Rosita. But there was this commoner Alejandro from
their Hacienda that loves Rosita very much and so does Rosita. These three
sisters never liked Alejandro for Rosita given to the fact that he works for them
as a farmer. And one day, while Rosita and Alejandro were on a picnic just a
meter away from their house, the three sisters stood at the balcony watching
them and planning to have Alejandro stay away from their beloved Rosita.

Maria (sister 1): ROSITA! I told you not to go out with him!

Isabela (sister 3): you know exactly WHY!

Rosita: (looked down) but…

(Rosita was about to explain yet she cut off with her sisters song *BREAK UP
WITH HIM BY OLD DOMINION)

Rosita: NOOOO! I can’t! I love him ates

Daniela (sister 2): Do you think you can get something that’s good for your life?
For you future?!

Isabela (sister 3): A lot of better guys who were courting you but you ended up
with him?

Rosita: YES! And it’s his love for me. Nothing else!

Maria (sister 1): Basta! Break up with him! Or else I’ll going to make his life
miserable! And that includes
YOU, ROSITA!

Alejandro: PLEEEEAAASSSE! AYAW DAMAYA SI ROSITA ANI (while kneeling

down)

Rosita: (held the hand of Alejandro) Alejandro, please stand up, you don’t need
to this.

Alejandro: Rosita, I Love You but it seems like it’s the end for the both of us
(looking at Rosita with teary eyes)

Rosita: Please don’t leave me, you promised that you will never ever leave me
(cries)
Alejandro: YES, I said that but look! Hey look at me, this is for you own good.
Your sisters don’t like me for you my love and I cannot do anything for that.

Narration:

Alejandro left Rosita wrecked. Deciding to let go the love they have
created together from the very beginning of their childhood. Alejandro
misunderstood what the three sisters were up to. He thought they never
wanted Alejandro for Rosita because he is just a mere farm boy, by little did he
know about the real reason behind everything. Rosita was hopeless, she lost
her hope in living. Just when she thought she could be finally happy, Alejandro
decides to leave. She went inside the house and saw her sisters talking.

Second Scene (HOUSE)

Sister 3: Rosita! Come here

Sister 2: Baby, I’m sorry for being too hard on you. Please forgive us.

Rosita: never mind, it’s okay, it’s over between us

Sister 1: Baby, I’m sorry, we just can’t afford a heartbreak neither too much
happiness. You know your heart won’t able to make it.

Rosita: it doesn’t matter since I’m gonna die soon anyway

Sister 3: ROSITA! (strong voice)

Rosita: WHAAAT!? It’s the truth and we all know that (shouted and ran)

Narration:

Rosita’s mind wandered, thinking since death is coming early, and better
yet live what’s remaining. She started packing some clothes, quickly and
quickly she did, avoiding not to make too much noise for her sisters are just
outside. She did not think much about how Alejandro would react. She just
wanted to feel his arms until her end time.

Third Scene (ALEJANDRO’S PLACE)

(Alejandro saw Rosita running towards his house with a baggage)

Alejandro: Rosita, what are you doing? (so shocked about the presence of
Rosita)
Rosita: My love, I can’t, I just can’t. I can’t leave everything we have shared
behind. I can’t….

Alejandro: Shhhhh… (cuts Rosita’s statement) it’s okay my love. I’m with you.
Let us go somewhere far, far away from this land.

Narrator:

They ran and ran but something was wrong...

Rosita stopped gasping for air while holding her chest. As Alejandro came
towards her, he was so worried and suddenly Rosita collapsed.

Fourth Scene (HOSPITAL)

Narration:

Rosita was hurriedly delivered to the hospital with Alejandro. Alejandro

was so clueless until the three sisters came hysterical.

Sister 2: THIS IS YOUR FAULT! WE TOLD TO LEAVE HER ALONE! YOU DID
THIS TO HER! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW FRAGILE ROSITA IS! YOU HAVE NO
IDEA! GET OUT! GET OUT!

Narration:

Alejandro didn’t know anything until the doctor came in explaining how
Rosita has a weak heart and can’t tolerate fatigue and too much happiness.
Alejandro was shocked and held Rosita’s hand that is now lying in bed looking
so pale.

Doctor: Rosita unfortunately has short time ahead of her already. Neither
medications nor a surgery can help her. I’m sorry.

3 sisters: cried so hard and went towards Rosita

Rosita: (woke up and whispering a name)

Alejandro… Alejandro…

Alejandro: I’m here my love, im here

Sister 1: baby, we are so sorry. Please don’t leave us

Rosita: I’m sorry ates I can’t promise you that I am too tired and weak already.
I’m sorry (a genuine smile appears on her face) I just wish that in my short
years here on earth, I made you all happy even for just a bit

Sister 3: Rosita, you did more than that. We are so thankful that we have our
sweetest angel. We are so sorry. We love you with all our hearts. Now that we
are already woken up by the sad truth yet the happiest for you, we will allow
your love with Alejandro to continue. That’s the least that we can do for our
angel.
(the 4 shared the longest hug)

Fifth Scene (GARDEN)

Narration:

Rosita and Alejandro spent most of Rosita’s days in the Garden where
they love and will forever love. The Garden where everything is quiet and
peaceful. The Garden where Rosita decided to leave Alejandro with a heart so
happy and with her most genuine smile appears on her face as always that
makes her look more innocent.

Alejandro: Goodbye my love. You did well.

You are so brave for loving with death.
