Dear Head of School/School Principal,

On behalf of the APOGCE Committee, we are pleased to invite your school to participate in the
Energy4me Science Teachers Workshop to be held virtually alongside the SPE/IATMI Asia Pacific Oil
& Gas Conference and Exhibition (APOGCE) on Tuesday, 12 October 2021 at 15:00-17:00 (UTC +7)

The Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition (APOGCE) is a collaborative effort between SPE
(Society of Petroleum Engineers) and IATMI (Ikatan Ahli Teknik Perminyakan Indonesia) since 1999,
APOGCE is the premier upstream technical conference in the Asia Pacific region, covering the
broadest range of disciplines involved in exploration and production activities. Every year, APOGCE
includes education program through Energy4me to promote STEM subjects to schools and in this
year’s edition, it aims to reach out to science teachers across the Asia Pacific to teach them energy
concepts that can be easily used in their classrooms.

Energy4me is an energy educational public outreach program that highlights how energy works in
our everyday lives. SPE’s Energy4me program values the role teachers and believes in the importance
of giving teachers the tools they need to comfortably teach students energy concepts. Hands-on
activities at teacher workshops provide educators with interactive, age-appropriate experiments
using basic household items that illustrate energy concepts.

Participating teachers will receive the following;

✓ Comprehensive, objective information about the scientific concepts of energy and its global
significance
✓ FREE access to teacher resources such as lesson plans, activities, classroom materials and
more!
✓ Opportunity to visit APOGCE’s virtual exhibition to check latest technologies, ask questions
to subject matter experts and discover the world of energy industry.
✓ Certificate of participation that confirms they have completed energy education.
