Dear Parents/Guardians:

Greetings in the name of Blessed Mannes De Guzman!

Mark your calendars for the academic unit’s First Virtual Parent-Teacher Conference to be held
on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. You will have the opportunity to meet with your child/ward’s
teacher virtually to discuss the student’s academic progress during the first quarter of the enriched
virtual mode of learning.

To secure your time with the teacher, we are requesting that you schedule your virtual conference in
advance. Virtual teacher-parent conferences will be limited to fifteen (15) minutes. Please be sure to
attend promptly at your appointed time so that you and other parents can be assured of an equal
opportunity to conference with the teacher. Moreover, please see the attached guidelines during
consultations and quarterly parent-teacher conference for your information and guidance.

Junior High School teachers will be available for virtual conferences during the following schedules:

Guidelines during Consultations and Quarterly Parent-Teacher Conference

SY 2021-2022

During this time of pandemic, where face to face conference or consultation is not possible,
our school has to explore various ways of communication among students, parents, teachers,
staff, and administrators. This year, we will maximize the use of technology to ensure that
there is an open line of communication among the stakeholders of the school, especially
between the parents and teachers.

1. Parents may write an email through the UST Gmail account of the concerned subject
teacher. When sending an email, parents are advised to specifically state the name and
section of their child and their specific concerns so that teachers can respond
accordingly.

2. Parents may also confer virtually with the subject teachers through Zoom/Google
Meet/FB Messenger video chat. They must send an email to the concerned subject
teacher stating their intention for a virtual conference so that teachers can arrange a
schedule. A link (if applicable) will be given by the teacher to the parent, as well as the
set time and day of the virtual conference.

3. Parents may request for a conference during the Day 5 Consultation Schedule or
during the Quarterly Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC).

4. Other ways of communication, such as video call using other platforms, private online
chat, or a mobile telephone call, may also be used, provided that a prior email has been
sent for the purpose of a conference. Teachers reserve the right to refuse chats and calls
without a due notice for a conference via email.

5. The privacy and confidentiality in all forms of communication must be strictly observed.
