1. Assessing the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 Vaccine to senior citizens and its high
vulnerability rate.
2. Introduction or Background:

During 2019, scientist have discovered an illness that seems new and is
continuously spreading throughout the globe, this virus was named as COVID-19 as it
starts to spread and infect tons of people and not selecting its victim. Among these
victims, the ones who are vulnerable to this virus the most are the senior citizen,
according to the claim of cdc.gov, the older you get, the more you are exposed to the
risks of catching COVID-19, specifically, people who are aged 65 years and older are the
most vulnerable to COVID-19.

Thankfully, during the end of 2020 to 2021 present, different brands of COVID
vaccines are presented and is available to people to fight against COVID-19 and to
achieve the immunity herd in different countries. Different governments from different
countries are prioritizing senior citizens, because they are known to be the most
vulnerable to COVID-19 because of their weak immunity system. The main problem is
that, there are so many brands of COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna, and
Johnson. Given that there are many brands, is it safe for senior citizens to take COVID-
19 vaccines given that there are different side effects once one of these vaccines have
been injected?

According to the Department of Health, the possible effects of COVID vaccines

are pain, redness, itchiness or swelling at the injection site, fever, feeling of weakness or
fatigue, headache, dizziness, diarrhea, or nausea. Can these side effects be endured by
senior citizens given their weak physical and immunity system? Are the vaccines
effective enough to lower the vulnerability of senior citizens against COVID-19? This
study aims to assess whether the COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective to senior
citizens or not, because there are a lot to consider for senior citizens, are they physically
strong enough to take the side effects of the vaccine? Are they mentally strong enough?
Is the vaccine strong enough to give the senior citizens high immunity rate against
COVID-19?
