HOW TO BE SMART

(Wednesday \ 20 April 2011)

Sharifah : What was wrong with you, Aziemah? You look so tense.

Khadijah : Yes, I have been observing you since this morning. If you have any problems,
feel free to share them with us.

Aziemah : Thank you, anyways. Actually, I felt so stress lately. There were so many
things that I have to do. Besides doing homeworks, I have to attend my tuition classes
4 days a week. My schedule is so full every day until I do not have enough rest.

Sharifah : It seems that you have t rearrange your schedule more systematic after this.
From now on, you have to give yourself a break. Sleep at least 6 hours a day so that
you will not get sleepy and tired.

Aziemah : Really? No wonder why I felt so sleepy as I always sleep only for 4 hours
almost every day.

Khadijah : By that, you can pay more attention to your study well. To keep yourself
hydrated, drink a lot of water at least 8 glasses a day. Eat also banana and some dark
chocolate. Those foods have shown to help boost your memorization skills.

Aziemah : So, from now on, I have to take the fruits every day, like that?

Khadijah : Not so, if you fruits in large quantities will also cause a variety of diseases. I
suggest you to eat fruit at least 5 times a week.

Aziemah : I found that I am also difficult to get understand the lessons. Can you guys
explain a bit about tips on how to get understand well?

Sharifah : Of course. Firstly, you must stay focused and get plentyof rest the night
before. Do not forget breakfast during the day so that you will got enough energy.
then, after you could understand it well, try to revise the lessons without referring to
your notes or textbook.
Aziemah : How if I still cannot remember every single words that I have read?

Sharifah : If that so, you need to teach someone else about the lessons. Snag an empty
classroom and some slow fellows then try to teach the lessons to them.

Khadijah : Besides, you can use a variety of study techniques. Go through chapters and
highlight the important parts. Let’s study smart but not hard. And try to avoid study
until the midnight. Let’s being normal, that is like an early bird and not a night owl.

Aziemah : Absolutely. Thank you very much for all your advises and tips. I will try to do
as what you guys have said as well.

Khadijah : You’re welcome, Aziemah. I know you can do it.

Sharifah : Well, all the best Aziemah. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
