Adeeba can take care of herself

Learning Priority: Increasing ability to use logic and abstract thinking

It was a busy day at Annur Childcare. We were having lunch. I was helping Adeeba on the high chair.
Lately, Adeeba has been trying to do things on her own. So I gave her a spoon and her lunch box,
trying to see if she can manage to do it herself. For the first few try, she was struggling a bit, trying to
scoop out the bean using a spoon. Seeing her struggle, I offered to help her but she refused while
shaking her head. Masha Allah, Adeeba is so smart. After a while, she can manage to scoop out the
bean and putting it into her mouth without spilling. After she finished her lunch, I took a wet cloth
trying to clean her up. She took the cloth from me and started to wipe her face and the table.
Adeeba was able to express and to communicate using her body language. She was able to retrieve
information through repetitive routine of cleaning her up after lunch, now she can copy the action
and do it herself. She knows how to take care of herself and her well-being. She has also improved
her fine motor skills using the spoon to feed herself.
What next for Adeeba?
InsyaAllah we will encourage Adeeba to do cooperative play so she will be able to create a
relationship with the other children. It will also help her communication skill and how she will deal
with other children.
