Week 1 Learning

We have started our journey by introducing each other by describing our personality traits.
After that, we have made a journey to the Nile site, the virtual chat room, to go through
module activities, weekly reflective journals, discussion boards, assessment information, and
support network and submission of my task. The fundamental purpose of this module was to
equip me with confidence and skills for navigating the analytical and critical demands of
MBA study along with the study of academic misconduct (Veerachamy, 2021). After that, we
have discussed the studying challenges that have been faced in the postgraduate degree. In
this aspect we have recognised the possible challenges such as adjusting to new culture and
environment, adjusting with a high-level learning approach, time management, integrating
critical thinking both in oral and written assessment and achievement in spirit. I have learnt
that the common teaching methods are interactive activity and lectures, care discussion, role
plays, business discussion, reflective talks, content-based exercises, experimental activities,
business simulation, learning, blog writing (D’Alessio, Avolio and Charles, 2019).
Discussion boards and so on. On the other hand, assessment methods include academic
essays, case presentations, reflective essays, time constraint exams, voiceover on
presentations, reflective portfolios, infographics and blogging.

I have learned this week that there are many characteristics of active blended learning such as
close interaction with peers, tutors and team works, activity reflecting workshops, future-

oriented digital learning atmosphere, accessibility to up-to-date online resources, a super
supportive motivation of culture and focus on the peer support and mentoring mechanism. I
have also learnt about bloom’s taxonomy that involves six stages like create, evaluate,
analyse, apply, understand and remember (Dalton, 2018). At the end of this week, we have
discussed assessment for identifying the key skills and criteria that are required for
assessment.
