Job Title: Project Lead for Start Up TreTrip Travel Agency

Project Duration: 2 months (8 weeks)


Fixed Rate: $450 per week (weekly retainer)
Contract: Through Upwork platform between TreTrip & Maria Luisa Santiago
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday
Meeting: 1-2 times a week which will be scheduled at least 1 day prior
Start Date: March 27, 2023

Milestone 1: Sabre GDS Implementation


Duration: 1 month

Week 1. Introduction to the Sabre GDS

1. Get access to Sabre GDS (this would have to be provided by TreTrip).


a. Agent Log-In to Sabre Red
b. IATA number
c. Configure the Sabre GDS to meet the needs of the travel agency
d. Find out how to link the TriTrip website to Sabre to make a booking
2. Book reservation for TreTrip (flight bookings, hotel bookings, car rental bookings, jet
transportation, limo, etc.) instead of a third party vendor.
a. Email request - focus on corporate clients
b. WhatsApp
c. Outbound Calling for corporate clients, consumers or even high-profile clients
i. TreTrip will provide telephone access (GoTo - Farraj to send the
access on or before Monday, 27-Mar)
d. Research on how to create an offer or a package deal
3. Managing bookings and itineraries
4. Troubleshooting and technical support for Sabre GDS-related issues.
5. Customising and saving travel profiles of repeat clients.
a. TreTrip can suggest what CRM to use (Salesforce).
6. Sabre reporting and billing.
7. Create a training manual for TreTrip
8. Terms and Conditions, Policies

Week 2 and 3. Hire and Train.


Note: This could last for 2 weeks if the agents are new to Sabre. If we are to hire agents that
are already experts in the field, 1 week is good enough since it will only be a brush-through.

1. Hire and/or train agents in using GDS


a. Set-up agents Sabre GDS access
b. Introduction to the Sabre GDS
c. Navigation and basic commands
d. Flight bookings
e. Hotel bookings
f. Car rental bookings
g. Managing bookings and itineraries
h. Fare rules and pricing

i. Customising and saving travel profiles
j. Reporting and billing
k. Troubleshooting common issues

Week 4. Sabre Launch

1. All agents are ready to take a booking, either over the phone or by email and
WhatsApp request
2. As a project Lead I will also be taking booking request and performing the same job
description stated in Week 1
3. PR and Marketing - use AI tools like ChatGPT for blurbs
a. Social Media Management
i. Set-up the travel agency’s social media account; LinkedIn, Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter, etc.
ii. Create graphic design and content for Tretrip. This will require
approval of the company in terms of color palettes, logo, fonts, etc.
iii. Post 3-5 contents every week across all social media account
iv. Email marketing.
1. Create a TreTrip email marketing account (Mailchimp)
2. Create email campaigns regarding the launch
3. Create a travel newsletter.

Milestone 2. Operations Management
Duration: 1 month - target summer

1. The travel agency should be fully operational by Week 5.


2. Meeting with the Stakeholders | TreTrip.
3. Oversee and coordinate various activities to ensure that the agency runs efficiently
and delivers high-quality services to customers.
4. Consultation regarding air, hotel, and ground transportation.
5. Implement a quality control system.
a. Establish a set of standards and procedures to ensure that the agency
consistently delivers high-quality services to customers.
6. Manage inventory.
a. Manage the inventory of travel products and services, including airline tickets,
hotel rooms, ground transportation. This involves forecasting demand,
negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that inventory is available when
customers need it.
7. Ensure customer satisfaction. Provide excellent customer service by being
responsive to customer inquiries and resolving issues quickly. This can involve
training staff in customer service skills and setting up systems to manage customer
complaints and feedback.
8. Embrace technology: Use technology to streamline operations and improve the
customer experience. This could include implementing a booking system, using
social media to promote services, and using analytics to monitor performance.
9. Foster a positive workplace culture: Create a positive work environment that
promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
