I. Project Title

Project “One’S-for-All” (One set of Electrical Tools and Equipment for each and

All Leaner of EIM in National High School)

II. Background and Rationale

The ultimate goal of vocational technical education training is for the acquisition

of knowledge, attitude and practical skills for sustainable development. The training of

vocational technical education students is based on the production of goods and

services that are not only relevant to themselves but to the society. The acquisition of

life-long practical skills calls for effective and efficient teaching strategies, appropriate

evaluation methods and utilization of standard teaching materials, tools, machines, and

equipment to ensure the production of desired graduates with practical skills.

An integral part to this technical-vocation education is experiential learning.

Hands-on learning makes a big impact on the knowledge acquisition of learners as they

form a greater amount of experience and knowledge. When students are forced to do

something, they are engaged in active learning. They’re practicing their skills and

they’re putting their knowledge to the test. Most importantly, they are actively creating

knowledge, instead of passively consuming it. In order to create, in order to do, students

must be engaged in their education. And engagement has for years been linked to
greater academic success like increased test scores and greater academic

achievements.

Beyond simply leading to better engagement, hands-on learning allows students

to practice the skills that they have already learned. As anyone who has ever learned a

skill or learned information can attest to, the more practice you get, the better you will be

at that skill, and the better you will be able to retain the information.

Hands-on learning would be best for students enrolled in technological –

vocational subjects if each and every student can have their own set of tools and

equipment to work with. However, when students and their families are face with

decisions, such as keeping their lights on or their bellies full over buying tools and

equipment for their learning, it is a clear choice to choose the latter. Almost every school

year, these students bear the burden knowing their families cannot provide the required

tools and equipment.

If preparation is the key to success, think of the difference it can make for these

learners to have the necessary tools and equipment they need for their technological-

vocational studies. Something as seemingly simple as a screw driver and a plies would

have such a tremendous impact inside the classroom and their lives.

When teachers have students who cannot provide their own materials, it places

an incredible burden and strain on the classroom. How will they ensure these students

can participate fully? Who will they ensure equity?

Educators are increasingly expected to provide supplementary and even

foundational materials for their classrooms, often just so they can provide the basic
curriculum and instruction. They regularly do so, making it the rare profession where an

employee takes money from their own pocket to pay to do their jobs.

Project “One’s for All” (One Set of Electrical Tools and Equipment for each and

All Learners) is significant to address the basic need in a technological-vocational

classroom. Tools and equipment (screw drivers, pliers, cutters, wires, and electrical

tapes) were provided and stored in boxes ready to be used intended for students in

need and for emergency purposes under the supervision of their subject teachers.

Project “One’s for All” (One Set of Electrical Tools and Equipment for each and

All Learners) will be established by the school and its stakeholders in their locals to

promote a more engaging environment for students. And to ensure that every student

shall have the necessary tools and equipment for a better learning experience.

III. Objectives and Expected Outcomes

This innovative work is geared towards the attainment of the following:

1. Help students in need by giving them the necessary tools and equipment for

their technological-vocational subjects;

2. Motivate students to be more engaged and participative in their classes; and

3. Uplift the students’ confidence and sense of belongingness.

IV. Target Beneficiaries

Learners/Students – they will be the main beneficiaries, since it will be them who shall

be receiving and using the tools and equipment that shall be gathered through the
Project “One’s for All” (One Set of Electrical Tools and Equipment for each and All

Learners) by the participation of the stakeholders/

Teachers – they will benefit through the utilization of the tools and equipment which

shall be provided by the Project “One’s for All” (One Set of Electrical Tools and

Equipment for each and All Learners), lessening the burden of students who do not

have the tools and equipment for the tech-voc subjects, ensuring active participation by

the students.

Parents – they will benefit threogh the lessened burden of providing the tools and

equipment for the tech-voc subjects, allowing them to be able to give more for their

children.

School Head – the innovative work will help improve the school achievement by having

a more motivated studentry and help to uplift the educational scenario of the local.

School – it shall be benefited by having a more engaged learning environment and

more productive learners.

V. Intervention Methods and Strategies

A meeting for the establishment of the Project “One’s for All” (One Set of

Electrical Tools and Equipment for each and All Learners) shall be commenced at the

beginning of the school year during the first General Assembly of the Parents Teachers

Association (PTA). Project “One’s for All” (One Set of Electrical Tools and Equipment for

each and All Learners) shall be introduced to the parents along with other stakeholders

in the community.
The school shall ask for the assistance of the parents and the stakeholders in

procuring the materials needed for the implementation of the Project “One’s for All”

(One Set of Electrical Tools and Equipment for each and All Learners). Donations either

in money or in kind shall be accepted of by the school coming from either the parents or

stakeholders.

Procurement of the tools and equipment needed shall start at the earliest

possible time. After procuring the materials, an inventory of the classes shall be done to

list the tools and equipment needed by each class and to determine the recipients of the

Project “One’s for All” (One Set of Electrical Tools and Equipment for each and All

Learners).

Monthly assessment on the tools and equipment shall be done the whole year to

determine the inventory of the tools and equipment and whether there is a need to

procure more if the need arises.

The performance of the students shall also be evaluated to determine the

effectiveness of the innovative work.

VI. Project Description

Project “One’s for All” (One Set of Electrical Tools and Equipment for each and

All Learners) is a socio-economic collaborative project between the school and the

community wherein the school, teachers, school heads, parents and stakeholders are

tapped to provide for the learners who are in need of the basic tools and equipment

inside a tech-voc classroom. It utilizes the different stakeholders in the community to

provide the learners a more engaging environment for learning. The tools and
equipment that will be distributed to the learners shall be coming from the different

stakeholders in the community.

Financial statements will be discussed before and after the conduct of the activity

to promote transparency of funds and materials utilized.
