Essay:
Humankind have achieved plenty of significant breakthrough in every field. These
findings are virtually based on different scientific approaches. The focus of multiple perspectives
on a study field is all too familiar in the scientific realm, and believed to be crucial if that study
wants to make tremendous progress. Personally, I totally agree to this view
Firstly, that the convergence of different domains is all-important is by virtue of the
nature of science. There is undoubtedly no fields of knowledge can exist independently because
each area of knowledge comprises a myriad of aspects, and these aspects consist of numerous
other domains. For instance, it is a must that the field of evolution and extinction includes
climatology, geology, sociology, biology and agriculture to facilitate human’s ability to possess
profound understanding of the academic discipline. As a result, the interdisciplinary approach of
all branches of science is inevitably indispensable.
Secondly, the interrelation between fields of science can satisfy man’s demands to
comprehensive understand the world around them. When different study fields are included and
combined, they will pave clear paths for new standpoints to the problem, therefore, we can view
the issue from many distinct angles and then be able to find out new alternative solutions to the
problem concerned. For example, to find out the crime of a case, the police cannot solely use the
knowledge of criminology, but they also have to combine DNA analysis, behavioral science and
sociology to find the offender.
Thirdly, by applying knowledge from different fields, we can commit the mistakes of the
field taken into account so as to make further advance in that area of science. The explanation of
an issue may be true when considered in this field of study, but in other ones, it may be wrong,
so when we combine the two fields together, we can fully understand the issue. For example, in
the past, people believed that the Earth is square; however, in later time when the scientists
utilized the knowledge of astronomy, it was proved that the Earth is nearly sphere, not square.
In conclusion, the interrelation between fields is extremely material for a field to make
significantly advancements on account of its capacity to minimize errors and scientific prestige,
as well as our need for multiple interpretations to understand life.
