Viewing the Load Against Work Centers

(Task)
The output from detail capacity planning is load profile. This load profile
displays future capacity requirements during the capacity planning horizon.
Periods are displayed based on the user input time frames.

The purpose of this exercise is to lead you through viewing the load against
work centers.

Task Components
Viewing the load against a work center requires only one component—type
11 in front of your work Center.

Navigation Path to Capacity Requirements


The following is the navigation path to use before you start the exercises:

BPCS Main menu  CAP menu  Capacity Requirements (or CAP300)

Type 11 for Your Work Center - Component 1


1. Use the Navigation Path to start this exercise.
2. Type 11 in the Act column.
11 is the code for Profile mode.
3. Type xx for the Fac.
4. Type xx960 for the WrkCtr.
5. Type M as the Code.
6. Press Enter.
The Capacity Requirements window displays.
 The R symbol in the figure below indicates the overload of
capacity, which probably displays in red, depending on your
monitor settings. Load profiles may vary slightly. A five-day
workshop’s profile may be slightly different than a three-day
workshop’s profile. For example, the window below was
generated on the same day that the demand was input into the
system.
