Vision?
 It will enhance education, scientific studies and research,
thereby contributing to the transfer of knowledge and technical
skills and to the creation of local jobs. It will be a source of
national pride and happiness for the UAE people and the
region.
When did UAE decide to send a Mission
to Mars?
 9 February 2021
 All three arrived at Mars in February 2021. The
Emirates Mars Mission was the first of the three to arrive
at Mars, performing a successful orbit entry maneuver on 9
February 2021.
When did UAE send its Space Mission to
Mars?
 July 2020
 The Emirates Mars Mission has sent an
unmanned spacecraft, or probe, into Martian
orbit.
What is the purpose of UAE’s MARS
Mission?
 Goal 1: To understand the climate dynamics of Mars and the
planet's global weather map by characterizing its lower
atmosphere. Goal 2: To explain how the weather
on Mars affects the escape of hydrogen and oxygen from its
atmosphere.

 KhalifaSat also known as DubaiSat ,is a remote sensing earth
observation satelite that was designed and built at the Space Technology
Laboratories of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai
How long does it take to get to Mars and
why is it so difficult
 It is possible to get to Mars in less time, but
this would require you to burn your rocket engines
longer, using more fuel. With current rocket
technology, this isn't really feasible. In the nine
months it takes to get to
Mars, Mars moves a considerable distance around
in its orbit, about 3/8 of the way around the Sun.

Space research?
 The UAE's National Space Policy aims to build a strong and
sustainable space sector that supports and protects national
interests and vital industries, contributes to the diversification
