DISASSEMBLY, INSPECTION, AND REPAIR

The auxiliary pump should be repaired by an
authorized Sauer/Sundstrand service center. See
the listing at the end of this section for the nearest
service center.

Installation
1. If the following components were removed, on a
clean work bench assemble the following
components on the auxiliary pump.

Description Qty.
Adapter 1
Elbow 2
O ring 1
90° Elbow 1
Cap screw M12 x 40 2
2. Remove the plug from the auxiliary pump,
lubricate the O ring with petroleum jelly and 1

5. Lubricate the O rings for the two 90° elbows (1)
and install the elbows into the open ports of the
auxiliary pump. Hand tighten the elbows at this
time.
6. Lubricate the O ring (2) with petroleum jelly and
install the O ring to the mating surface around the 2
opening on the auxiliary pump.
NOTE: The auxiliary pump weighs approximately 36 1
Kg (80 lbs.). Use caution when installing onto the
pump drive assembly.

7. Using a suitable lifting device, raise the auxiliary 19984566

pump into position and adjust the splines in the
pump drive assembly so the electronic control is 10
next to the frame and the two elbows are on the
bottom.
NOTE: When installing the auxiliary pump to the
pump drive assembly be certain that the splines on
the auxiliary pump are properly aligned with the
splines in the pump drive assembly.

8. Coat the cap screws with a thread locking

compound (part # L24231) and secure the
auxiliary pump to the pump drive assembly with
two M12 x 40 cap screws. Torque the cap screws
to 97 N⋅m (72 ft.-lbs.).
