3. MAIN CHARACTERS & CHARACTERIZATION :
 Peyton Farquhar : Bossy, rebel
4. PLOT :
 There is a man standing around a bridge waiting to die. He is civilian who has disobeyed
military law
 Farquhar learned that the troops have rebuilt Owl Creek Bridge. Any civilian caught
disturbing the rebuilding of the railroad will be hanged without trial.
 Farquhar falls through the bridge and manage to free himself from the ropes binding
him. He just need to avoid drowning and getting shot.
 Farquhar pray so he can avoid to get shot by the soldier. Then he gets caught in a vortex
that flings him on the opposite shore.
 Farquhar makes his way home through the forest and finally arrived at his house. He
rushes toward his wife, then he feels a blow against the back of his neck.
 Farquhar is dead with a broken neck. His body hang from Owl Creek Bridge.

 Farquhar is dead with a broken neck. His body hang from Owl Creek Bridge.
6. WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS STORY TO BE READ? WHY OR WHY NOT?
 Yes, i would like to recommend this story because of the ending. It makes the reader to
think wether Farquhar is dead and hallucinating meeting his wife at home and died or
Farquhar is died getting shot in the back of his neck while meeting his wife at home.
