About Thailand Inventors’ Day
The National Research Council of
Thailand (NRCT) is a government
organization holding status as a
department under the command of
the Ministry of Higher Education,
Science, Research, and Innovation.
NRCT acts as a key unit to promote
and support research, invention,
innovation and technology transfer
to related users in both the private
and public sectors. One of main activities on promoting inventions and innovations,
NRCT has cooperation with a related organization to hold Thailand Inventors’ Day
since 1995 up to the present.

The Cabinet resolved on 10 May 1994, to declare 2 February of every year as the
Inventors’ Day in Thailand, to commemorate the achievement of His Majesty the King
Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Father of Thai Invention, in inventing the “Low Speed
Surface Aerator” or the so-called “Chaipattana Aerator”. On 14 August 2001, NRCT
has been assigned to be the leading agency, coordinating with other government
agencies and the private sector to organize Thailand Inventors’ Day. Since then the
event has been held to open floor to all Thai and international inventors to exhibit
and promote their inventions, new products or new techniques as well as to share
experiences among themselves. Therefore, the fruitful commercialization and
cooperation in research, invention and innovation will be operated effectively.

About Bangkok International Intellectual Property,
Every year in Thailand Inventors’ Day, an international pavilion is set up for
Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEx)

In Thailand Inventors’ Day, an international pavilion is set up for exhibiting

the potential and interesting invention and innovation of international
inventors/innovators. This exhibition is known as Bangkok International
Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition
(IPITEx) which will be held in Thailand Inventors’ Day during 2 – 6
February of every year, to create the collaboration between Thai and
international inventors/organizations.
NRCT provides booths with free of charge.

 Standard booth: 2 m x 3 m x 2.4 m (W*L*H)

 Provided Facilities:
- Fascia board with name of leading organization
- Electricity (220V, single phase, 60 Hz., 1 KW. per booth)
- Chair and Table are on request* (Maximum 3 chairs and 3 tables
per booth)

 Deadline for submission: 13 December 2019

 Maximum 3 inventions per booth

Located only 30 minutes from Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

BITEC is easily accessible by Car, Mini van and Bus via 3 well sign posted
entrances: Entrance 1 and 2 can be accessed from Bangna Trad Road and
Entrance 3 from Sukhumvit Road, just off the expressway.
The easiest ways to reach BITEC are by taxi or by BTS Skytrain.
Visitors travelling to BITEC can get off the train at "Bang Na Station" Exit 1.
From there, it is just a short walk to the skywalk leading directly to the
Welcome Hall.
