What changed/is new?


Compensation administrators can now turn off specific filter values from the Population View that
are that are not relevant for their compensation module configuration.

Why did we invest in this?


Many companies don’t use hierarchies such as “Matrix Reports”, “HR Reports”. Having these
additional filtering options can be confusing for planners. Now, admins can control which options
the planners can see.

Anything to be aware of?


You must have the Administrator > Manage Compensation and Variable Pay > Manage Advanced
Executive Review Filters permission. Changes apply for all Compensation, Variable Pay and Total
Compensation templates.

CMP-25105: New Publish Report page provides detailed logs for Publish to Employee Central

What changed/is new?


A new admin center page called “Employee Central Publish Report” provides Excel insights into the
outcome of each Publish Back job.

Why did we invest in this?


Customers can now easily see the logs of the publishing status for the employee, identify the issues
during publishing and republishing the users with errors. Customers don’t need to browse through
multiple text based log files to identify the users for whom publishing failed, thus saving a lot of time
and effort.

Anything to be aware of?


You must have the Administrator > Manage Compensation > View Employee Central Publish Report
permission.

What changed/is new?


Calculated or editable fields defined in Design Worksheet can now be used as attributes for Guideline
tables in Compensation, Variable Pay and Total Compensation templates.

Why did we invest in this?


The guideline matrix can become large and difficult to manage. Sometimes the guidelines may vary
based on the data input by the user. Such scenarios could not be supported before but can be
supported now. If you can refer to a column that determines a guideline grouping based on those
criteria, the guideline matrix can be simplified.

Anything to be aware of?


This is a universal enhancement. Only editable or formula-based columns of type string, percent or
amount are supported in this enhancement.

What changed/is new?


With this enhancement Compensation Administrators can publish back values from the Compensation
worksheet directly to MDF objects.

Why did we invest in this?


The benefit of extending Compensation Plan publishing to Metadata Framework (MDF) Objects is that
it eliminates additional, manual work. Previously, the system could read data from a custom MDF
object into compensation planning templates, but publishing to MDF objects from Compensation
worksheets wasn’t supported. You can now publish compensation planning data into custom MDF
objects, seamlessly, without doing any manual imports. A business case for MDF publish back is the
management of Long Term Incentives vesting over several years.

Anything to be aware of?


This is a provisioning opt-in enhancement which is not yet supported in Variable Pay and Total
Compensation templates. In this release MDF publish can only be designed and viewed in XML. In
future releases we are planning on making MDF publish design available from Admin Center.

What changed/is new?


With this enhancement Compensation Administrators can publish back values from the Compensation
worksheet directly to Compensation Information fields.

Why did we invest in this?


Simplification of data management, possibility to publish comments and other key information without
impacting the design of pay components.

Anything to be aware of?


This is a provisioning opt-in enhancement supported for all templates. In this release Compensation
Information publish can only be designed and viewed in XML. In future releases we are planning on
making Compensation Information publish design available from Admin Center. This enhancement
does not support mapping to picklist fields, lookup fields and translatable fields in EC Compensation
Information. We also do not consider custom-long EC fields because custom-long is retired and
replaced by custom-double.

CMP-27521: Outside of guidelines/salary range flag supported in enhanced Executive Review filters

What changed/is new?


This enhancement allows users to filter employees with recommendations outside of guidelines or
salary range in the new Advanced Executive Review Filters. In the older filtering experience,
customers had two options – Show all employees and Show only employees who are outside
guidelines/salary range. With this enhancement, customers have three options – Show all employees,
Show only employees who are outside guidelines/salary range and Show only employees who are
within guidelines/salary range (by excluding employees who are outside).

Why did we invest in this?


While reviewing the compensation planning data, planners may need to see which employees are
outside of guidelines or salary range and apply special treatment for those employees. This option was
available in the old filtering experience but missing from the new Advanced Filters, with this release
this gap is being closed.

Anything to be aware of?


This is a universal enhancement supported for all templates. The filtering value “Outside Guidelines or
Salary Range” shows at the bottom of the list of filters available.

What changed/is new?


Admins can now enable Bulk Print for Executive Reviewers for a specific plan by enabling Enable
Bulk Print in Executive Review from Plan Setup in the Settings page.

In addition, Executive reviewers can now view categorized log information in Reporting > Report
Center > View Schedule > My Jobs. The log files track information on employees:
• whose statements are printed
• whose statements are excluded from printing
• whose statements are unavailable for printing

To provide improved management of compensation statements for Executive Reviewers

Enabling the feature is no longer available from Action for all plans. For existing Plans, the Enable

Multiple planners who are collaborating on a single worksheet in the same step can now instantly
access the updated worksheets. By choosing Save & Close after updating a worksheet, the
changes are saved and the current planner is redirected to the Forms tab, allowing other planners
in the same step to access the updated worksheet immediately

To enable multiple planners at the same step to efficiently collaborate for a single worksheet

Anything to be aware of?


If a planner chooses Save to save the updates made to the worksheet, the worksheet remains
inaccessible to the other planners at the same step for a duration of 120 minutes

specific work anniversaries. The programs can be created to reflect milestones and recognitions

and Recognition Guide for details of the Role Based Permissions and configurations required to
create, run and manage Milestone Programs

To provide a way to better manage and automate long service awards

Supported only for EC customers. Supports only Point-based Awards for this release.

For this release, custom points are supported only for Milestone Award Programs. In the upcoming

Deprecation of Manual Email Award Acknowledgments for Reward and Recognition


The process for email notification to award recipients for Reward and Recognition Spot Awards has been
automated as of 1H 2020. Currently, administrators can choose to enable Send emails automatically to
employees in Manage Award Program Settings. As of 1H 2022, administrator choice will be removed, and all
email notifications will be sent automatically. This improves the user experience by stopping the mistakes
that occur with a manual process and saving time through automation

To simplify the process of rerunning jobs by not
needing to re-create jobs or submitting customer
tickets.

You need permission to Scheduled Job Manager in
